Ratt was the BEST of the Hair Metal bands by far. Their songs had a groove and Warren is a beast!! RIP Robin.

Warren's taste and commitment to rhythm and never OVERPLAYING is a hallmark of Ratt's music. His solos are so fluid and melodic. Like Mark Knopfler, he has so much more horsepower under the hood and he rarely floors his gas pedal .... he does it in little tasty flourishes. He knows that music isn't an olympic event and the most notes don't win. The BEST SONG wins...the best piece of MUSIC wins. Let Yngwie win the guitar hero awards...I will take Warren all day long. He clearly heard the parts of Ed's playing that weren't so obvious.....and made them his own.

Robin Crosby's last show.. he was really struggling and down and out. Had returned from rehab for heroin and backstage at this show Juan caught him downing a bottle of vodka. They kicked him out at the end of the show. RATT was done the second they made that choice but Bobby Blatzer hasn't got the memo.. Im serious. look him up. He is a nut.

Great band, great music! I love each original member. They are one of my favorites. Ratt and Roll forever however that was a tough time period for the band. Robbin was out of the band dealing with major issues which was sad. Thanks for sharing this live footage, this was fun to watch.

Met and jammed with Warren earlier this year at RRFC.. He was the #1 reason I decided to attend this year.. He seems like an intensely private person with a super low profile and basically zero social media footprint.. He's the same super laid back, chill, soft spoken surfer dude he's always been, just older. .. We took some pics and he gave me an old pick from the 86/87 tour he said he recently found in a box he hadn't opened for over 3 decades. I tried saying a few things to him when I was on his right side then I realized he's clearly had some serious hearing loss bc it didn't seem to register at all.. He was able to finally hear me when I moved to be more in front of him and he could see me mouthing the words.. The poor guys ears are probably shredded from all those yrs of touring.. He definitely did seem a lot older all of the sudden but hey..it happens to all of us eventually. Really wish he'd come out and play in public more but I've heard he's more than set for life financially and really doesn't want to deal with hassles of touring at his age..

Never got the idea of having no neck pickup (also in Eddie O'Jeda's signature Kramer) Does it sound richer with more wood and cleaner with less electronics?

That is definitely Warren demonstrating his badness, not some other player. Check out Me And My Guitar Warren... interview. Same ring and bracelet. I recognized that picking style of his, but that's no guarantee.

It is said in one article of 2022 that Robbin was high on vodka & drugs during this perfomance and the other guyz got to know by that moment that he is intravenous addict. The narcotics already cripple his abilities of virtuously guitar playing. He left the band shortly thereafter, in second half of 1991. Still the Michael Schenker on guitar couldn't improve the sutiation, and the Ratt disbanded a year after Robbin left. He was diagnosed HIV-postitive in 1994. Lead singer Steven Pearcy blamed this, in his 2000's interview, with almost certainity on "dirty needles''. When the band decided to reunite after 1995 in the original line-up, Crosby tried vigorously to be accepted back. He reportedly became fully sober and sold all of his memorabilia and old possessions. But bandmates has been seeing nobody in him now, but a weary, disease-bloated parody on his former energetic self, barely capable of producing his trademark solos and overall technique. They just say, he didnt meet the standarts. Ratt then reunite, but without Robbin Crosby, who, compelled to step back felt himself betrayed by his former friends and colleagues. And what even worse - almost totally abandoned. Then went another coil of his downward spiral, and then another, and another. Sometime in 1999 doctors reported him that his HIV developed into full-blown AIDS. In 1999-2002 he also underwent numerous surgical interventions in need for removal inflammatory fluid from his spine and abdomen. At 6 june of 2002 Crosby died, two monthes short of his 43 birthday from heroin overdose & AIDS-induced pneumonia, having gained, reportedly, over 150 kilos of weight. At the last year of his life he complained to his old childhood friend, that members of Ratt rarely visit him, despite that all of them lived only 30-minutes away.... It's sarcastic, sad irony...but Robbin Crosby has been "The King" for them only when they needed him.
