I played the Bluffs for the first time last year, it gets so much hype. It truly lived up to it, I loved it.

Not a bum hole on that Old Course, SO much fun to play as any Doak (assist from Hanze!) course is. I think that second shot into 18 might be one of the prettier you'll see anywhere.

I love it here. Such a relaxed vibe and beautiful scenery. I was lucky enough to stay over in the cottages which I highly recommend. 5 star experience and golf courses.

been to Scotland 3 times and Ireland 6 times and the first 3 trips my sticks didnt make it and I started using Shipsticks highly recommended sure beats not having your clubs which really sucks, and rental sets are not cheap over there either, spend a little extra to have em shipped and save the headache and alot of money not renting clubs

Looks like you got a fine, calm day. I played the 36 hole open there many years ago. First round , 1 over after 8, 95. Second round no score. It chewed me up and spat me out. Loved it.

The 20 and 30 yard putts killed me…not a skill we back in States.. yes, it’s a challenging course but I found the endless bunkers to be a bit monotonous. The condition of the course was impeccable.

I hope you went and visited the aviator monument at 20:52, it includes four Americans. The view from the snack shack is incredible too. That shot over the rock from the light house is one I'll always remember. I had great match against a local golfer there. Played it a few times in the 80s and after the Ladies Open in 2015. Played in wind so hard on the Arran course, it knocked me over...worse wind I have played... I look forward to when it will eventually return to men's rota after current ownership departs. Thank you again for your wonderful video and sharing your family trip.

@@RK-ig5hy hope you enjoy it! I would say it was a more difficult walk than I expected, a few holes with a lot of slope but the rest of the course just has subtle grade. However the views on North are simply spectacular.

Love St Andrews and really enjoyed watching this. Tough breaks in the road hole bunker there. Always tough to get the ball up high enough when the sand is compact like that too.

I've been to Scotland twice and played Kingsbarns twice.. This is, in my opinion, the best golf course in the world. Nothing measures up to it for links style golf. If you have a chance, you should definitely play it!!!!

Really enjoyed that. The price is out of my league but you can park just down from the clubhouse and walk through the middle of the course down to the lighthouse and the views are spectacular with Alisa Craig in the background. Great for landscape photography.

So it’s not that I have the Approach of if it’s not expensive it’s not good .. rather if I’m gonna make the trek and want the best Scotland has to offer. I’m assuming if you would come play in the states there’s a few overpriced tracks you would want to play as well?

@@mikeweaver79 Apoligies Mike...I was not reffering to you personally but its what ive heard from some reliable sources at some of these top end courses. As for me coming to the states yeah i might like to play Pebble as there are not so many trees there and maybe KIwah but not if they charge $500 a round. The only course I would pay big bucks to play would be Muirfield Village because Jack Nicklaus is my sporting hero...Tiger was a fabulous player but Jack to me is the greatest. Mike if you ever do come back and i hope you do let me know and i can maybe give you a few pointers on some courses you might like to play. Keep it in the fairway .

Got to play Ailsa course Thursday 30th May 2024 what an absolute brilliant day. Dry but wind gusting to 25mph made it a little bit trickier. So much so we decided to play from the Yellow tees. I am happy that I only lost 2 balls lol and went round in 88 which I was really happy with seeing as I had a course handicap of 18. You really lucked out with the weather.

@@mikeweaver79 Turnberry my favourite. It’s the whole package. Course, hotel, clubhouse and views. St Andrews is a special place. Something spiritual about St Andrews has a fond affection for Bonnie Bobby Jones. Carnoustie is a tough test. The wee ice- mon( Ben Hogan put on an exhibition of shot making on route to his Open win in 1953. Thoroughly enjoying your videos. Going to watch the Scottish Open soon at The Renaissance then Royal Troon for The Open 👍
