The best Shave Brush on the market today is my Simpson Trafalgar's T-3, better then boar cheaper in the long run, it is 29mm. i mic it' it's like buying a $275 Badger hair brush, no cleaning the brush, no need for a brush stand, NO SOAKING, fast drying time, well not fall apart like a Badger Hair or boar can, cheap to buy, I have owned it for 5 Years with no hair loss with no problems wheelchair Larry Merry Christmas

Shave with any bar soap or Mitchell's Wool Fat? Cut the bar soap up, put in a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave for a minute or so? if it foams up, stop. let cool you just went it to congeal' place in the sun, until soap hardens Larry

you don't need animal hair as a good quality synthetic will avoid animal cruelty and in most cases give a better lather experience

the best for me $2.87 Neutrogena Original Amber Bar Facial Cleansing Bar with Glycerin, Clean- put in microwave for 20 seconds ,it will liquify ,pour into shaving bowl , let cool then just use brush to lather .It doesn't promote a big giant foamy face but gives you lubrication and skin protection . after all it is only what is on your skin that affects it not the foam on top of foam $2.87 it will last over a year

I’m not sure if it’s the soap I’m using or what but I can get a lather, put it on my face, it goes on nice and white but by the time I’m about 1/3 done with the shave, it all just kind of disappears and gets sticky almost
@dudders___16842 жыл бұрын
I ordered some of this fancy shave lather, brush, a straight razor, and a safety razor, because I wanna be more manly and also save money from the crap cartridge companies, idk if they’re cuts or not but there’s just some bleeding spots. Maybe cause it was my first time with a single blade. I finished off with the safety razor lol. one thing I noticed is the lather didn’t stay on my face long and I’m not sure if it’s because I got shaving soap, or what. I figure I’d watch a video for some help
@Nobody-471 Жыл бұрын
I use a safety razor and I always do 2 passes because it feels like it's pulling at the hairs on the first pass. The second always feels a lot smoother. I have the same problem you have, the lather doesn't seem to stay on my face for long and it's like it dries out. I'm not sure if it's how I make my lather or the blade but I changed it last time I shaved. One thing I'm pleased with though is I've only cut myself once lol
@dudders___1684 Жыл бұрын
@@Nobody-471 i figured out that I was using shaving soap and not shaving cream, but not that Gillette stuff. One of those little cans or something, get it on the brush with a little water and later it into the bowl, it works much better. I’ve got a beard back though but when I was shaving, the cream worked much better. The one I got is called the art of shaving and it’s in a black container, lavender scented. Also if it’s pulling the hairs the blade may be dull, also try to keep the angle right
@Nobody-471 Жыл бұрын
@@dudders___1684 I normally use this cream I have. It's a brand called Leponix, it's sandalwood scented and I also have a puck of soap. I can't remember the brand, Barberia, or something like that and it's lemon scented. But I get the same problem whichever one I use. I soak my brush in warm water then I squeeze the water out before I make the lather. I wonder if my water needs to be warmer or I'm squeezing too much water out of the brush. I'll try changing the blade, too. Thanks
@dudders___1684 Жыл бұрын
@@Nobody-471 I love sandalwood scented stuff! Also another thing you may like is they make straight razor type razors that you can change the blade in. When I shave it change the razor about every two shaves because after that it feels like it’s pulling. That’s why I recommended changing the blade on your safety razor, it all just really depends on how thick your facial hair is

You gotta play with the soap to water ratio. I used to think it was about adding more soap but I found I was actually needing more water and more time whipping it if I wanted to get those giant bowls of lather.
