Best end game party without cooking for stat gains I would say is Ryu, Basch(Bow), Aspara(Spar) and Sten. Ryu for Dragons, Basch for twin bow and healing, Sten for attack as he has more def than Lin(Katt) and more speed than Rand,and lastly Aspara for buffing and healing.

It's crazy to see people doing Ch2 speedruns in competition and watching them need to choose between natural and metal slime grinds.

I think I might have already watched this. Oh well, one of the best games ever run by some of the greatest DQ/DW runners, commentators and general community folks around.

I really enjoy your commentary. I love the game, and hearing your plot description as you go is great. The speedrun itself is interesting, but the love in the first place comes from the story (for me)

i have a question to anyone that see this and might know the answer. when using gamble, they react to the damage the attack is going to do before the game actually displays it. is there a tell in the animation that indicates roughly how much damage gamble is going to do? they clearly great negatively to low damage amount before the amount is displayed. how do they know???

I played this incessantly on Apple II. Until recently I preferred the graphics on that old beast, but I'm starting to come around to the (EGA?) graphics on the PC. It's just such a shame the later the series got, the more black and white it was on the Apple. Sacrificing color for detail.

Yo this is awesome! I always wanted there to be a run that encourages more Blade diversity, because as cool as the regular any%/dlc% runs are, the fact that it just circumvents the entire Blade gacha system is a little disappointing. I'd love to see even more strategies in this category for using generic/random blades. Maybe a decision tree of Blades to replace Roc in chapter 5. Really glad that this category exists and hope to see more people running it in the future!
