Don't waste your time. Misleading title: This is not about the difference. This video is only about the pros of whole house fans. For clarification: no solar powered attic fan is illegal in any state. Only ac powered ones are. There are many minuses to whole house fans: Permitting, cost, allergies, etc. but still better than attic fans.

You get no building permit. You don't get to build your home , and if you do and the city drives around and notices that you are building a house and decides to stop and check the permit , and he or she does not see it , STOP WORK 😂😂😂😂

Whole house fans work GREAT GREAT GREAT in low humidity states, like Colorado & Wyoming. We use them exclusively in the “shoulder months” of summer … as the nights are always cool/cold and comfortable. Install the whole house fan in an upper-level ceiling …. open a window or two (non-west facing) in the lower levels of your home. That ground-level, cool air, passes quietly and efficiently through the entire house….and out the whole house fan.

It actually is June up here in North Eastern Ontario when I watched this. I think I've caught it today doing it for the fist time. We have a soaker today so I started to stress out. It's an older house that was remodeled the quick way if you know what I mean. This fixture is placed in the middle of the house on the main floor with a 1 ¾ foot gap between floors. Thanks for posting

Great video! But I don’t understand where the water will go when the sensor valve closes on reaching the temperature, and then the pump has no output? Thank you!
@MightyHouse5 ай бұрын
The pump will turn off and wait for you to use the hot water or it cools down enough to turn back on.

Are these specific to floating or bonded neutral or can either neutral be used?
@MightyHouse5 ай бұрын
Not sure since we are not allowed to install them here in the Chicago area. Might want to call the manufacture on that one.

@@MightyHouse also, call generlink directly because here in my area of Texas they aren't allowed, but they just came out with a generlink hybrid for areas that aren't allowed to hook to the meter. They sent me an email of the new hybrid.

Well you offered no solutions for us that have an already poured concrete floor in an insulated garage . It’s terrible from spring to fall! I need a solution…
@MightyHouse6 ай бұрын
We just taped a response to your question... Where do you live that it is that bad? Do you live done south with AC in the garage?
@weenidc6 ай бұрын
@@MightyHouse no! Complete opposite , in the cold north . Nova Scotia , Canada ..no AC required! Its an insulated garage, well the walls and ceilings are, the concrete i assume has no insulation. With the doors closed, not much for windows, no ventilation , it keeps it pretty cool , any day over 10 Celsius the floor is a slippery and , I mean slippery, mess! Im installing a humidex with hopes it works, but I'm thinking that concrete just stays to cold and once the warm ( well warmish) air hits it, thats it. I wish I had insulated the concrete , but now desperately seeking a solution , as I'm going to break my legs one day , it’s that slick.
@MightyHouse6 ай бұрын
@@weenidc You might want to check with our friends at Warmly Yours. www.warmlyyours.com/en-US/floor-heating you can install the heating and then tile over it or float the floor with concrete floor leveler and then epoxy over that. More to come later when we post a video about this.

It is a basic line laser that only shoots a vertical and horizontal line. You can't toggle between the two. Beyond that it works as you would expect. We set cabinetry with one last week and it did a great job. If you are looking for a laser on a budget, this one will serve you well.
