What did you do with the trim at the bottom? It looks like you added something there…. but it wasn’t mentioned (unless I missed it, lol).

We attached a 1x1 along the bottom, right above the existing trim so that the horizontal pieces would have something flush to sit on making it more seamless. Hope that makes sense!

Hi Sarah! Your project looks fantastic and I'm trying to do the same on my backyard...my big question is about the pavers where you attach the pergola...Does works great to keep the pergola up and running after 7 months? Did you put the pavers just above the sand as you show on the video or you put concrete to "stick" the pavers with the ground? Thanks in advance, your answer will help me a lot!

What is the spacing between the vertical 1x4's? Also how long are they? I thought the video said 5 1/2 feet but I must have misunderstood because it doesn't seem that tall. Thank you! This is awesome! Seriously considering doing this!

Question, I see yr wall is textured, did you sand it first?
@bourntocreate
@bourntocreate 11 ай бұрын
No, we didn’t sand, just painted it. I wouldn’t sand the textured wall but if you want a smooth surface, you can put up sheets of boarding before adding the slats and then paint!

How many holes do you think you drilled? I'm setting up mine this week

I think about 8 holes total, spaced out. I added gravel to the bottom for drainage and propped it up on some scrap wood to help the water escape. Good luck!
