Not a expert by no means, but why is there 2 buttons on same side of PTT that can cause you to go off selected channel in case of emergency?

nice to see, that on the other side of the ocean they use exact the same gear 😁 just 2 weeks ago I finished my education in special high and deep rescue. I like the clutch because its features are so much better than ID, Ric or other descenders greetings from germany

So I'm not municipal and never have been. I work in a chemical plant and serve on the ERT on site. On the lowering system portion, are you not concerned about using the same anchor point for both the main and belay? We were always taught to do our best to use different anchor points in case of failure. Just a question.

I think I can respond here. In an actual rescue situations, we always tried to use independent "bomb proof" anchors if possible. In this case, they are using anchors that they trust and used for training. So yes, separate is always the safest in actual situations.

The firefighters were playing it off like it was no big deal. All the ropes were tensioned on an unprotected concrete edge. That could have been so much worse
