The Raqqa gate and Ukhaidir are precious survivors of eighth-century Abbasid architecture, almost all other structures dating to that time under that dynasty being lost to time, to the best of my knowledge. With these remaining monuments, we catch a glimpse of the grandeur and aspiration of the new ruling house of imperial Islam.

Damghan mosque (Tari khane) was built before the advent of Islam. It was a Zoroastrian shrine in the first place then converted into a mosque after Arab's invasion.
@anorthedge4422
@anorthedge4422 Жыл бұрын
That's not right. The architecture of the Damghan mosque is perfectly Islamic, and cannot be Zoroastrian, though it might have replaced, entirely and completely replaced an earlier building, without any trace of the earlier building being left.

Thank you! Damqan mosque is called Tari khane, which means House of God, Tari is a Turkish word for god , while Tarik Khane means dark house. Tarik is a Persian word.

In architecture, a clerestory (/ˈklɪərstɔːri/ KLEER-stor-ee; lit. 'clear storey', also clearstory, clearstorey, or overstorey) is a high section of wall that contains windows above eye level. The purpose is to admit light, fresh air, or both.

Muslim brought hell to Persian civilization in south Baghdad Persian capital city Ctesiphon fallen at about 651AC and what is called Muslim civilization in history it is the remainder of Persian civilization no scholar was born in Mecca or Medina or in main land Arabia Islam was a force against science and philosophy and reason almost all so called Muslim philosopher were Persian scholar borrowed Muslim name by force as example Ibn Sina , Zakaria Razi , Khwarizmi , Omar Khayyam and many others Persian scholar some who were burn live in Baghdad to stand against Muslim fanatic laws and order from Basra To Bokhara were former Persian empire fallen but stand as new civilization against Muslim occupier I hope Muslim renaissance which was in order by Persian scholar before Persia fall in hand of Mughal in 12th century can reorganize to bring reason to Islam Thanks for liberty in You Tube
