When I looked at them online. I had to consider the options of when I'm working with the tractor around buildings. And how closer would get to the building itself when I was working But overall, I found the large very satisfying.

Any more updates on the restoration? I've got one I'm planning on restoring as well. These mowers were built like tanks and are much better than the cheaper ones being built today.

They do vibrate when it idles a little but after you throttle up they come and focus really great and stay that way all while it's running

Well, It's your money but the premix cost more than the gallon that you add water. More $ per gallon and you have 1 gal. instead of 2 gal. mixed after spending $.89 for a gal. of distilled water. Antifreeze can be bought a lot cheaper at NAPA but you need to buy specific to Diesel. Always use a funnel and not spill any cause if a dog or other animal licks it off the ground or their feet it can kill them. That tractor does have a history of leaking antifreeze but it's just a matter of a loose hose clamp. Hope it's a trouble free tractor for you. My brother has one. I have a 1984 J.D. 750.

Hi do you still have this mower I need some information on the pin on the front of deck there is 2 different holes that it can go in not sure what one it supposed to be in 😅 and then on deck it has 3 holes nit sure about that either because the deck was off when u got it

To be honest with your question I've not ever had to change mine at all so I'm not really sure the best way to do it because I bought mine used a few years back and used it to mow a lot the belts been fine

Yeah I have taken off the deck there are multiple holes. Are these decks universal? All the ones I find on Facebook are a little different in design.

Does your spinner knob stay in place or does in tend to turn on the steering wheel? I am looking for a good option for my steering wheel. A lot of people have said theirs doesn’t stay on the steering very good!

Yes the steering knob I use stays in place really good I changed out the short screws that comes with with some longer ones to help it clamped to the steering wheel better which I got all that at my local Rule King and I highly recommend it

That is not how to properly check the gear oil. There are check plugs in each gearbox. Read the manual.
