Are the cyclists that he comes across near the end of the course, competitors in the all-manual race? It seems odd that there'd be so many people riding on the course if they were not also competing. There were loads of bikes and people at the finish line area, and that looked like people who had finished competing in the all-manual race. The race organizers may want to start the E-Bike race another hour later so the manual guys will all be off the course by then. Other than that, Mr. Pombo got ahead and stayed ahead in his race. And he was hardly ever out of breath doing it.
