Art is powerful. Music, which is an artform, is no different. I love it when art can make you feel something,. Especially when it's a feeling that you don't know what it is, but you know that it's positive. That's what I get here.

Lyrics: Build yourself an empty home Mold it out of soot and stone Hide your little love away Keep it from the light of day 'Cause all the things that he can do Love, here he cannot hurt you no more But when you go I hope you know That the world's just not the same Move away into the night Pull the curtains up so tight Hold yourself off from the sun Hide away from everyone 'Cause all the things that he can do Well, here he cannot hurt you Sometimes you break the mold Sometimes your heart is cold Set away with your demons Here dear, you must stay clear of his heart 'Cause he threw it like a stone Through your windows But I really hope you know That we hope that you'll come back around And I hope you know That when you let go Oh, the world will heal Will heal another one And I hope you know That when you let go Oh, the world will heal Will heal another one Oh, and I hope you know That when you let go Oh, the world will heal Will heal another one

Lyrics: Wait with me Hold me down, lift me up, 'til I’ve got nothing left to sing about Call on me, dear When the night grows soft, oh, go Come away Oh, come away with me I’ll take you out, lift you up, 'til you’ve got nothing left to worry about Lay with me When the darkness rocks the soil Oh, our bodies twitch and toil We slip away Oh, here we shake the sand And we hold our harsh demands And slip away Slip away When the darkness rocks the soil Oh, our bodies twitch and toil We slip away Oh, here we shake the sand And we hold our harsh demands And slip away Slip away Marry me, marry me, love, our symmetry It simply defines us Marry me, marry me, love, my dear Marry me, marry me, love, our symmetry It simply defines us Marry me, marry me, love, my dear

Lyrics: So you lost your head inside your heart And the weighty world, it tore you apart And you've all but given up, on the stone you call a heart You're singing out, sing it out Oh, the love you've placed inside my hands Oh, the fervor that your heart demands Well we went off with a spark But you were left out in the dark Singing out, oh, sing it out Oh, love, you wanna step outside Find a place to run and hide It isn't that it's tough Oh, It's just that I don't love you enough So take your shaking bones And step out on your own Oh, the winter never stops Oh, love, you wanna step outside Find a place to run and hide Oh, it isn't that it's tough Oh, baby love, it's just that I don't love you enough So take your shaking bones and go And there's nothing left inside my heart No, there's nothing left for you Oh, there's nothing left inside my broken heart You say yes, and I say no Love don't stop, oh love don't go Love don't go You say yes, and I say no Love don't stop, oh love don't go Love don't go

Lyrics: Brittle bones, you stand alone Doff your shoes and warm your toes Strike the air, but no one's there And the sun is going down, down, down Broken beast, your angry shrieks Shake the night, 'til the morning's light Stamp the sound into the ground And the weight is finally away, the weather here's muted out Now, your body here is finally gone somehow And the world is spinning round, round, round Straight to the bottle, you're falling now And it all goes down And a weight, a bitterness has found an easy way down your throat Oh, the barkers now are kindly calling out And the sun is going Down, down, down

Long time listener, first time caller. I love this band and this morning while feeding my baby, I asked Spotify to play The Family Crest and this was the first song it decided to play. It gave me goosebumps it was so good and exactly the song I needed for my "life soundtrack" in that moment. They clearly are AMAZING live too--hope to get to see them perform live someday!!!

Are you guys planning on continuing band together? I've been listening for a little over a year now and frequently go back to listen to old episodes. My personal favourites are any episodes where Charlie and Owen tell stories, they always make me laugh!
