That's so sad, im so sorry you had to deal with them, did you ever get this resolved, not that it could be really but did you at least get your money back? I hope that teacher is no longer teaching, i hate people like that, and i'm shocked noone stood up for you.

Thanks for your video! I was advised to start on 10mg for a week and then up to 20mg. I heard that eating right and working out is really important on meds, what are your thoughts on that? I mean it is always important

Hi Katie, sorry for the delay. I rarely check this account. (will be doing an update soon tho!) I agree, it's always important, the issue for me was when you first start medication, it will take time before your body will adjust. From my experience, my need to eat got more intense as I upped my dosage. I think, especially as your starting this process, be aware of what makes you feel comfortable... if working out gets your nervous and anxious, I would wait on it until your meds align... my experience was I got really self-conscious for the first few months. However you deal to take care of yourself, initially, do it... then later on, yes! Working out is great as it gives you natural endorphins which will help your overall mood. As far as eating, i'm probably not the best person to take advice from as I often eat comfort food when I have my low days. I try to be healthy but it's hard when you can't get out of bed sometimes (being on meds will help but won't cure your depression, sadly) Hope that helped and if you want, please DM me if you need anything else. How has your first month been?

I ended up being on celexa for 4 years. When i changed the meds, I was at the highest dosage of celexa, i think it was 40mg? I don't remember. When it was good, it worked well like the first 2-3 years but by the time the last year came by, it wasn't working for me. It's all personal preference so i wanted something stronger, which resulted in prozac. I would say 4 out of 5! (again, just my unprofessional opinion)

Tho I have an addiction to them from self medicating) Came off Prozac n changed to these (tried a few diff SSRI's over the years) Have you ever tried herbal supplements? Valerian Kava Ashwagandha Phenibut (no daily or long term use!!) Skullcap Passionflower - tho dunno how safe it is on an SSRI as it has maio effects.. Hope you're doin good

Ironically now I switched over to prozac and my appetite has grown... i dont quite remember how i handled it but it was definitely staying away from acidic foods, and trying to eat smaller amounts of food more frequently. Hope that was somewhat helpful, i honestly dont remember :(

does QTPOC mean that you are gay and trans at the same time? Meaning you like guys as a guy (while being a biological girl?)a friend of my mum felt that way... she was a bisexual trans, so she had children. ;)

Could you message me or post the link to your tumblr. Been taking meds for over a year and this summer I tried taking stuff specifically for anxiety. After shitty side effects from the first drug my psych prescribed me celexa. It's been a week and I absolutely hated it until today when I didn't have many side effects. I relate to sooooo many of the things you've said in your videos. It's almost creepy how I described in very similar words the feeling you talked about with your body feeling the effects of anxiety and depression but your mind area kind of filtering it out. Idk if I want to continue if I continue feeling that strange disconnect.

***** - my dreams are all different but i would say it feels like everynight is a continuation of something that may happen in real life... extra work shifts in dreams, dreaming about adopting dogs but in a high filled anxious space, finishing up an art project that i have no time for (kind of like cliff hanger moments) then waking up all of a suddenly at 7:50am usually on the dot (with no alarm)... also my names Finn xo

Really tired right now but just wanted to say if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here. I've been on about 7 different anti depressants and I am very sensitive to the medications. In my personal opinion it was the worst decision of my life, because it really messed up my memory, and I had really bad side effects and I wasn't myself. Now I live without meds. Anti anxiety meds are the only meds that worked, though I was told by my doctor it wasn't good to rely on them. Anyway, I feel like all these negatives are weighing out the pros! But that's just my interpretation. I remember seeing you on youtube, then that website and getting super excited because we have similar kinks! Anyway, I hope you feel a little better.

I took celexa for awhile. it was a rough in the beginning for me too. but it did help with depression. it made me really zombie like so after several months of that and therapy i got off of it. recently i've been taking lexapro and it's a much better experience for me. i've had little to no side effects other than my appetite isn't as large as it used to be. i should note i drink and use cannabis and that hasn't seemed to affect me too much either. glad you are documenting this. good luck.

lexapro sounds like a dream. so im over a month and every week is different with a different dosage from my doctor. my anxiety is spiking and hopefully i have an end goal in sight to lean off of it... for now, it feels do-able but been hearing some feedback from folks having less side effects... chemicals are crazy that way, huh? thanks for commenting!

My doc put me on cipralex, after my appointment the other day. It's a different drug, but from what I've read online, it is similar to celexa. Different isomers of the same chemical or something. I can't keep a train of thought together, but that is part of being depressed for me. I got on this because I am anxious and depressed, and apparently it is supposed to help with both - helping with anxiety in the first week and with depression in 6 weeks or so. Anyway, so far it has mostly made me suuper tired. Like, kinda drowsy in the day, and then really bodily tired at night (which might be good, since I have realized in the past few days that I forgot what being tired is supposed to feel like). I feel a cap on my anxiety now. Like you said, it's not the whole universe. still there, but not boundless. No changes in mood or thoughts or anything for me yet, but it's been less than a week.
@yesmamyes
@yesmamyes 10 жыл бұрын
im curious, did your doc give you anti anxiety pills as well? yeah im feeling you on the "train of thoughts" issue. like i said, i'm glad but it's also hard to focus on mundane things i used to focus on. how's week 2 for you? less drowsy?
@boy0boi
@boy0boi 10 жыл бұрын
I'm at 3 weeks now - A bit less drowsy I think, but sleep is still weird. I am going back later this week to talk to my doctor about it and just generally check in about how things are going. My doctor just gave me the one pill - cipralex. I think it is called lexapro in the states. It is supposed to help with anxiety, depression, and/or obsession (ocd stuff, I think). My anxiety has definitely gone down on it. I was having heart palpitations before that I didn't know the cause of, but with my anxiety going down, they have stopped, which is great. Also, in relation to suicidal thoughts, I had been advised not to drink on cipralex, but did twice, and found myself having sort of daydreams about dying several times the next day or two, so I have committed to not drinking on this, in case that was what pushed my brain to that spot. It hasn't happened since. How are things going for you in the past couple weeks? Any changes for the better/worse?

I have an appointment about tomorrow with a doctor about this. For some reason, even though I did that for trans related sutff, I hadn't thought to go on youtube for information about other people's experiences with drugs for depression or anxiety. Anyway, I am glad to have seen your video pop up in my feed. Thanks for sharing.
