My favorite Speer Family song! Ginger playing piano. She was always my favorite female singer they brought in to help mom after she couldn't hit those high notes as easy anymore because of age. The group had many various female singers over the years including Ann Downing but Ginger was first and her voice you hear on so many Speer Family classic recordings from the 1950s and 1960s. Ginger Laxson was 18 when she joined. You can see her in many Gaither Home Coming video's too.

Great singing! Where may I purchase the book being used?

I enjoyed seeing my parents, Hugh and Peggy McKinney, in this video. They have both moved on to their permanent homes in Heaven. Daddy taught my brothers; James, Steve, Scott, and me how to sing. We sang together as The McKinneys and I wouldn't trade those experiences for the world. Daddy also taught singing schools and led many choirs. Steve and I went on to major in music in college. Steve, Scott, and I sing together when we have the opportunity and all of us participate in the music ministries of our respective churches. Funny story - when I was in a college audition, they asked me to sight read solfege (shapes) with standard notation! How was I supposed to sing Do-Re-Mi's when all of the written notes were Sol? LOL! I eventually learned and then introduced shaped notes to the music department chair. He was amazed!!

Reminds me of those old convention songs.

If every church could have a choir or congregation sing like this. How great they sounded. Love It.
