How does this stack up against the dewalt version

Hi Ross, The Makita UT001G and the DeWalt DCD240X2 are both robust paddle mixers with dual-handle designs for control and comfort. The DeWalt DCD240X2 stands out with its higher 54V FLEXVOLT system and adjustable speeds up to 700 RPM, making it ideal for heavy-duty mixing tasks like render and mortar. On the other hand, the Makita UT001G, with its 40V Max XGT system, offers reliable performance for mixing plaster, paint, and similar materials but may not match DeWalt's runtime or power. Choose DeWalt for demanding jobs and extended use, or Makita for a slightly lighter, versatile tool. Read more here: bit.ly/3Z8ahxN 👈

This seems like a very tedious switch between blow/suc design, when other brands just have two tubes and a simple switch between them you can use on the go. I switch multiple times between suc and blow when I tidy up leaves, so this design would probably annoy me.

I always wondered what carbide was. We use carbide bits and chrome bits or teeth in a big circular saw for cutting logs and the carbide stays sharper for much longer.

That is one very ill thought out attachment!!!!! Curve the Chislehurst head (45°) and add a depth guide, possibly by welding a bit of metal on to stop the drill bit going to deep into the mortar.. you'd possibly have a half decent tool then

What a palaver - thank you for the vid. Finally managed to put together. But the back where the handle is doesn’t clip to anything so that the rear hangs down loose a few mil when not holding upright to use. An over complicated design. But thanks 🙏!

Your video is of excellent quality, but the content leaves much to be desired. Show how it all works with different vacuums and different size hoses and connect to table saws, sanders and other equipment. I gave you a thumbs down.

Do NOT buy one. I spent $4500 on mine not realizing I would have to buy four new batteries every year. Ryobi customer service is also the absolute WORST. Each reply takes 1-2 weeks.

The guide does absolutely fuckall on most lawnmower blades. You're still free-handing it so the guide is useless and it's cheaper just to buy the stone by itself.

Should be noted that none of these batteries are interchangeable with eachother. Each drive tools in the their own ecosystems. LXT has the most variety in terms of tools.

As disabled gardeners we have bought two brand new ones and they are RUBBISH. The disabled need the thing to retract (obviously). When you lift it out of the box you can hear the main spring inside unwind and from that moment it will never rewind properly. Over £100 each and they are a disgrace.😡

Which one is better rs001 or hs012g
@tooledup
@tooledup 5 ай бұрын
Hi GurPreet Both the Makita XGT RS001G and HS012G are great circular saws, but they serve different purposes. The RS001G is a 40V max model with higher power, making it ideal for heavy-duty tasks and professional use. It has a larger blade (190mm) and a deeper cutting capacity (66mm at 90 degrees), plus higher RPM for smoother cuts. On the other hand, the HS012G runs on an 18V or 36V battery, is lighter and more portable, and is perfect for general-purpose use and DIY projects. It has a smaller blade (165mm) and a slightly shallower cutting depth (57mm at 90 degrees). Go for the RS001G if you need more power and cutting capacity, or choose the HS012G if you want something more portable for lighter tasks. Hope this provides clarity! - Tooled-Up

Just purchased 9 gal. shop vac. The hose adaptor fits the hose end but doesn’t fit any other of the attachments such as the extension Wanda. Anyone have any suggestions?
@tooledup
@tooledup 5 ай бұрын
Hi Tom, Based on what we found, here are the possible fixes: Identify the Required Diameter: Measure the diameter of your hose end and the attachments. The universal adapter has multiple diameters, and you'll need to cut it to fit both ends properly. Cut the Adapter: Using a sharp utility knife or a small hacksaw, carefully cut the adapter at the appropriate diameter. Make sure the cut is straight to ensure a good seal. Test the Fit: After cutting, test the fit on both the hose end and the attachment. It should fit snugly without being too loose or requiring excessive force. Adjust if Necessary: If the fit is too tight, you can lightly sand the edges of the cut to make it easier to insert. If it's too loose, you might need to use duct tape to secure it temporarily until you find a more permanent solution. Hope this provides some clarity- Thanks Tooled-Up!
