The fastest strat i found is to get launched backwards and stay in the air. because you're behind this will force him to do a turning jump. Right when he's about to finish the jump animation but before he opens his mouth, use slow-mo to shoot the eye. If he opens his mouth it's near impossible to get an eye shot, so you'll have to shoot a bomb arrow instead. An eye shot is preferable because it saves time having to wait for the explosion animation and for some reason deals much more damage.

I'd say best weapons for this boss are pristine gerudo claymore and spears, since you can't flurry rush it.

Seems, there is a visual hint, when the arrow with the eyeball is „locked on the target“. Not sure what that looks like, but maybe someone can clarify that.

Dazzle fruit will have a blinding effect.

Use bow while in the air, aim instead of bat eye, and last you can hit multiple ores at once with a heavy weapon.

Silly to waste a precious bomb flower when you’d gotten it down to a tiny sliver of health. Next time, just attach a keese, octorok, or aerocuda eyeball to an arrow since they hone in and you won’t even have to get up in him again.

You can just glide n dive thru those ice sheets on colgera and beat hik woth no actual damage done at all. Especially no arrows or bombs wasted.
