Superb. I love my xadv. Having had many tuned classic scoots and big bikes, this big scoot is a great mix of the two I find. Plenty quick enough to get into trouble, and it’s supremely comfy and surprises more than a few sports bike riders. Away from the lights in sports mode it’s nutty! Brilliant video, superb lines and fab to see you out-braking some of the crotch rockets. 👍 thanks.

thx for the vid. / the wind noise destroys the audio, cannot here the motor. gear shifting and exhaust sound would have been pretty interesting. audio track could have been replaced by music instead. would also be interesting to see the x-adv in the turns, lean angle and body position. / anyway...thanks a lot and enjoy the ride. / cheers from switzerland. ;-)

Yes I know ..it was a last minute set up .The other one of my videos is with camera on the back so the noise is no where near as bad ..I have since done a different sent up with external mic at rear end . Just Waiting to do another track day . There is another one of my videos with me riding it out on the road with the different mic setup .. so will be good on my next track day ..

It done really well ..I have done lots of track days on sports bikes and would normally run in the fast group however I went on the Adv with some friends and ran in the slower groups . It would struggle and run out of puff on the straights as it tops out at 115 but in the corners you could keep it pinned . I did put some Michelin pilot sport tyres on mind and by the 2nd session I had to remove the adventure pegs and then the main stand as they were grounding out and by mid day I was actually scraping the bodywork !!.But all in all it didn't disappoint and surprised quite a few bikes on the day ..

Thanks for getting back to me. I am an older ex racer and track day enthusiast, even at my age I am pretty fast and can do a 2.56 round Spa and enjoy track days in Europe & at home. I use a KTM 1290 Superduke R on longer tracks and a 690 at tighter tracks, but for road riding regularly surprise my chums on my X-ADV. Last year a car hit me off my push bike with pretty bad injuries including a head injury, this was compounded by a resulting stroke on my left side !!! Anyway, I am back riding my 1200 GS on the road with 'steady away" gearshifts, but cant change quickly enough on my 2 KTM's yet, but my foot will recover. So my plan is to use my X-ADV initially at the 3 Sisters then Cadwell to keep my hand in. On the road I have ground off the center-stand feelers so wondered how it would fare on track.. I used Pilot Road 4 on mine and they stick well. Thanks very much for your advice, its much appreciated.

@@douglasmurphy6023 Sorry to hear about your accident but I suppose the adv is a good solution ..I have had many bikes too..I also have a Bmw k1200r and I chopped in a Mv Agusta to buy the Honda !! ..all my mates think I was crackers... I think you will be fine at 3 sisters but you will definitely need to remove the center stand and I actually also wore holes in the sides of my boots as I had no where else to put them and the bodywork was actually touching down .. good luck let me know how you get on ..

Hi Ian. Thanks again for getting back to me, do you have a number that I can reach you on ? Back in the day track days were a lot of fun, all sorts of bikes being thrashed, now it has morphed into something else with ex-BSB bikes etc and poorly ridden exotica ... but less fun ! I always chuckle at the No Limits guy that thrashes round on the old CB500 .... having more fun than any of them ! I also have a new TMax DX that might get pushed into track duty if all else fails ! Check out some of the great videos on here of them on European tracks. A few years ago I was tempted by a K1200R .... very underestimated machine ! Before chatting to you I was going to leave the Adventure pegs on to let me move my weight better, but sounds like that is a no-no ..... and my boots might suffer !? Just bought new outers for my Daytona's as well !!! Cheers Dougie

@@douglasmurphy6023 Hi Dougie..yes I had been a track day junky for many years and hadn't done one for about 10 years until I did one last year at cadwell on the Adv and have been getting my kicks lately by going to the Nurburgring .. for spooky but I have had a couple of Tmax's too, 500 and a 530 ... ' you on Facebook ?..is there another way of giving you my number as it's a bit public on here .

I've done my GP auto conversion, frame modification, respray and nut and bolt resto for about £5500. However I overpaid for the GP in the first place £3000. So total rebuild cost £2500. Well worth it, fast and smooth as. Reliability to die for

The scoot was originally a twin engine with the majority of frame and engine done by a guy called Dave briggs.I bought the scoot as an ongoing project but had issues with re-doing the twin engine and regretably i have coverted it back to a single and now the frame will need re-doing with a silent block set up as the the vibs are really bad...but this will all be sorted soon..I've probably spent £4500 including the bike up till now!!!
