12:00 No. Ymir didn't remember who she ate. Neither did Bertolt or Reiner. They talked about how Eren didn't seem to remember that he'd eaten someone. Ymir was an orphan. She was given the name Ymir when that cult took her. She's just a random orphan girl.

2:06 So he doesn't try to transform. 4:43 Eren was a pure titan. 5:40 You are correct. 8:50 Cuz thats what pure titans do eat people 😂 10:50 Yea basically 😅 11:21 Eren genuinely didn't remember. In ep 10? Remember when he came out of the titan he didnt know what was happening. 11:31 I dont think ymir specifically remembered eating someone. She remembers wandering around every single day, which im guessing was the wakin up in a nightmare thing. Then waking up a human I wanna say. The show just replays the scene a lot 😅 30:18 That's a good question 😅

Loved your reaction! I love that you guys pause and discuss instead of talking over the show. This is one of my favorite episodes from the first season! ♥ ♥ Also just noticed that the Angry other Monk calls him the avatar and Gyatso calls him Aang. Gyatso see's him as who he is and not just his Avatar title.

I mean Gojo really had to be stepping on so many shady decisions & I imagine it as national politics level of influence. The higher ups couldn't help themselves.

They're terrified of Gojo because they're corrupt, and he hates them, showing open contempt for them, and they can't do anything to him. He's also openly contemplated killing them. It's a power struggle.

Inumaki was in the range of sukunas Domain Expansion. That's how he lost his arm. In episode 17 two girls were talking about a guy with a megaphone saving them before they were sliced up by sukunas DE.

Also, the reason the higher-ups blame Gojo and Principal Yaga for the Shibuya Incident: They blame Sukuna. The "incident" to them is the Domain Expansion that Sukuna used on Mahoraga that left a crater in the city. The higher-ups were afraid of this from the beginning, and wanted to kill Yuji from day one. Gojo pushed back and said "I've got it under control, Sukuna won't do anything" and Principal Yaga supported him. So they blame those two, as a "we told you so" kind of thing. Plus, they now think Geto survived, which to them means Gojo lied about killing him in 0 and let him live, then assumed the three were all working together.

The two types of people Fake Geto created with Idle Transfiguration: 1. "People like Yuji" (Vessels) If you recall back to S1E1, when Yuji first ate Sukuna's finger, Megumi says most people would just die or be poisoned if they swallowed a cursed object, but there's a one in a million chance the curse inside of the object "incarnates" and the person becomes a vessel, like Yuji did. Fake Geto has been making pacts with powerful sorcerors across thousands of years to put their curse into cursed objects, has fed these objects to people, and then used Idle Transfiguration to make those people a "perfect match" for the object they ingested, so those sorcerors from history could "incarnate" the way Sukuna did within Yuji. 2. "People like Junpei" Essentially, there are people in the world who have cursed techniques, but they're missing the part of their brain that allows sorcerors to manipulate cursed energy and use techniques. Fake Geto used Idle Transfiguration to change these people's brains to make them able to use their dormant cursed techniques. So he's got old sorcerors from history now incarnated in modern people, and a bunch of new sorcerors who were regular people until now and suddenly awakened a technique. And he's having all of these people fight each other, to force the overall evolution of sorcery to the next level through combat and survival instinct. Jujutsu Hunger Games time!

The way he chooses the toys and everything is exactly how they choose the new Dali Lama in tibet! It's probably why it seemed familiar to you. But it's definitely a reference to that, his mentor is even named (Tenzin) Gyatso, the literal name of the current Dali Lama.

I love that not only do they set up parallels between Aang and Zuko that ripple throughout the entire series; but they show a nice contrast between Zuko's father figures; Zuko speaks out of turn, apologizes and Ozai scars and banishes him. Zuko nearly gets the while crew killed steering into a storm, apologizes and Iroh immediately forgives him. Ozai may be his blood. But Iroh is Zuko's father.

This episode is SUCH an amazing lore drop. The writers have been carefully shepherding you into rooting for the "bad guys" without you understanding why. It immediately answers the questions "Why am I rooting for Zuko against Zhao? Why do I like Zuko and Iroh so much?" The parallel's between Aang and Zuko are fleshed out a bit more, and now all of a sudden you feel sympathy for Zuko. Katara's statement to Aang about how he gives the world hope echoed by Iroh saying that the Avatar gives *Zuko* hope...*chef's kiss*. Episodes 12 & 13 are considered two of the best, if not THE best, episodes in Book 1. By this point, you've probably already recorded ep 13, so you know why.

This is the episode everything else has built up to. Because of the previous episodes you have a good idea of how the main characters behave. And, this episode gives some insight why the currently most intriguing characters are the way they are. They are both kids that feel like the weight of the world is on their shoulders. Zuko is a just and honorable person that grew up in a society that values honor and loyalty on it's face. But, there is not an honorable one among the upper class. And, realize, Ozai, like everyone else, believes the Avatar is dead and no more. As far as anyone knows they cycle is broken for whatever reason. He sent Zuko on a quest to look for a dead entity. He may as well had sent him to find Easter Bunny. He branded his own son a coward figuratively and literally. Then, he banished him seemingly forever. That Aang emerged was just coincidence. Aang was told at 12 rather than at 16. A 12 yo old is a whole other person than a 16 yo. There was no way he wasn't going to break and run. Had the Fire Nation not attacked Aang would've probably returned and apologized. We've seen him do the wrong thing and then try to make it right. Would Aang have died during the attack? Fans will argue that probable outcome forever. I think he would have died even if he went into the Avatar state. There were too many Fire Nation soldiers, they were way stronger due to the presence of the comet, and they came with plans and the element of surprise. All those kids you saw Aang playing with were cut down with the adults. No honor or mercy given.

It's tragic how Ozai treats Zuko and yet Zuko still wants his affection and appreciation. It's very hard to break out of that cycle or even realizing how little his father cares about him. It's ironic how Aang would've probably died had he not disappeared, but so many people died in the meantime, and now it's something that will haunt Aang and add to his guilt. This show has so many layers. It's amazing.

There are so many parallels and contrasts being drawn throughout the episode that it's hard to keep count - Zuko-Aang, Katara-Iroh, Zuko-Ozai, Ozai-Iroh, Gyatso-Iroh, the firebender generals and the Airbender elders. Sometime three in a single scene. All of it revolving around the theme of past abuse, it's effects and consequences, and how to handle those effects.

Priceless reaction 😂 REAALLLY👀....ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Welcome back Glenn 🤣🤣🤣 I do disagree with Vera about Rick, He became very well adapted to the reality of this world from season 4 episode 16 mentally coming to the fact that he had to start doing the ugly to protect the good (his group/family - FIRST) before anyone else and making tough decisions in an instant. he's carried a lot more weight on his shoulders probably since the start of season 3 before we got to the prison. Deanna & Alexandria haven't been through anything close to like what rick and his group have, Nicholas his brother Aiden and Spencer have all proved rick's point that they're incapable and have either got people killed or put people in danger through stupid choices that they made on their own. Also just to help with the timeline, season 6 episode 1 to episode 8 takes place over 1 whole day broken up into 7 episodes if you remove morgan's flashback episode 👍
