Sony S40R Only Supports Dolby Digital, and Dolby Mono But not the DTS format.

Mainly Dolby, dts also support. But dts need some more high range. In this budget we can't feel the dts.

@@knowledgeking6321 No man see the user manual leaflet. The Sony S40R only supports Dolby Digital. Dolby acquired its total copyrights for this sound device. If you have the doubt see the logos around the box and logo that is on the back side of the subwoofer. Dolby is one of the audiophile company that encodes audio in their respective format. Dolby and DTS (Digital Theatre System) are two separate companies. They are not the same. Dolby has its rights for some companies , DTS has its copyrights for some companies , THX has its copyrights for some companies. It totally depends on the respective company and its respective formats.

Try optical cable it will work 5.1 Dolby digital and DTS output. For mi tv HDMI ARC will only produce stereo sound. I researched my self and sort this 😂

@@AnishShanbhag for my mi tv 5x series HDMI - ARC 5.1 output is not working tried all ott platforms as well. It works like normal 2.1 channel. So I tried optical cable and it works. Before I was using blaupunkt 5.1 and it works with HDMI ARC. I think the problem is with Sony HT700rf and mi tv sync issues may be....
