I agree with you Shavers... Texas has a long road ahead of them, buuuut, so does every ("good") SEC Team, we are only in week 8, and im sure there will be several more upsets this season. You could ask the same exact question about Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and LSU... Look at the offenses and defenses they have remaining this season!!!?! 1. No one can go into Ann Arbor and expect to beat Michigan regardless of their current rankings, the ranking of today were not the ranking of week 2. Michigan was the "team to beat". 2. Will Texas run the Table? Who know... I will say that they have a better chance to run the table than any other team in the SEC.. Just my 2 cents!!

As a Tennessee fan I would have to agree. I think Nico is going to be great but maybe not this year. Hitting SEC play has clearly affected the Oline, especially the tackles which in turn has rattled Nico and made him nervous in the pocket. The play calling has been disappointing, very conservative and limited. We can’t rely on our Defense to win games and continue running up the middle on 3rd and long. At this point I don’t see us beating Bama or Georgia and may end up with another loss on top of those. Hopefully I’m wrong but not feeling very optimistic at this point.

I've noticed that Nico takes the snap but then he doesn't back up at all. Perhaps if he would take a three or four step drop at least he would have some room to escape. If the defensive ends are beating the tackels like they have been damn near every pass play the way they have him setting up he is so far in the pocket he can only try to go forward or try to bootleg him out because right now they know what he's gonna do

The more I watch him, the more Nico reminds me of Harrison Bailey at Tennessee. He has an almost machine-like style attempting to maximise efficiency and its generally pretty effective but it leaves some predictability perhaps and is usually not very clutch. He's young and so only time will tell but as a Tennessee fan, I believe he can grow and become more confident and hope to see it happen.

He is a redshirt freshman. Perhaps not ready -- hard to evaluate his performance in the ark game because of the continual O-line breakdowns. Perhaps he'll get some cleaner pockets v. Fla. and we'll know more.

I've seen numerous comments about Nico not running any more, because of injury concerns with the coaches. I haven't seen him run up the middle in a long time. Heard has been a disappointment at tackle, and there are issues with both tackles. The Tennessee OL isn't giving Nico enough time to consider any other options other than "run for your life." I think problems begin with the OL!

The game plan offensively was the same it has been. Spread em out and go. Problem was Arkansas manned up and got to us before we could execute. They dictated to us defensively what our offense produced. Our defense played tough all night. I wish they had a chance at the end hindsight being what it is. It was a short field goal with a backup kicker. Against trying to score a td when the O had struggled all night. Ahh well, long season and this year with the playoffs, a better chance at a title.

From what I saw the better football team won. I don't care where you're ranked or how much you pay your QB, Arkansas looked way more talented on defense and offense. Arkansas has 4 and 5 star corners playing press coverage and Niko wasn't looking up at an open receiver all night while being sacked numerous times. Arkansas was gashing this so call great defense Tennessee claim's to have and I believe the vols absorbed their first rushing touchdown this year. None of that is coincidence, you could see Arkansas was pushing them around on national TV. So NO,... something isn't GOING ON with NIKO. Tennessee got beat by a better team who happened to be unranked.

The big concern/issue is that Lebby has performed so badly he isn’t gonna be able to recruit at a higher level. Kids aren’t gonna take him seriously or buy into what he’s trying to sell..If he can’t get quality athletes there’s no path to a successful rebuild. Lebby was a risky hire and we all knew it.. The AD made a bad decision and when lebby is fired he will be as well..Rebuilding a program should be done under a proven head coach that has done it before that’s the type of coach you give 3-4 years.. Not a first year head coach that has no idea how to manage an entire football program..I know i’m right he’s not gonna have success no matter how long we give him.. It’s best to fire him and hire someone like the texas state head coach so we don’t waste time and cause further damage to our recruiting and funding..🤷🏻‍♂️The only way lebby could change my mind is if he beats 3 SEC teams now.

I know that Texas looks incredible, and I believe they are one of the Top 4 Programs in the country right now. I also know that Michigan is on a National Championship hangover, have lost most of their Coaching Staff, are under investigation, and did NOT look good last week until very late in the 4th Quarter. However, I would caution you from thinking that Texas just walks into Michigan and rolls them. This game will not be as easy as you would believe it to be. And this is from a Notre Dame fan! I do NOT like the Wolverines... at all. But, for some reason, they seem to play bigger and better than they are, especially at home. Shavers, i know what we have to deal with in Stark Vegas and our fanbase is not delusional. We expect that our team plays as hard as they can and making steps in the right direction.
