Excellent video, thanks. I have a Ford 3910 that I'm trying to fix its PTO. There's a leak there and it won't stop when you move the handle under the seat. It just turns slower but doesn't stop completely, how can I fix this?

Where's the alfredo sauce fill cap on the Case? :D I believe that one's produced Bagno Italy and runs a Kubota engine. It's weird that Case Construction won't run their CNHI engines in their units.

The case has a counter weight on back, if the yanmar had it's 450lbs counter weight it would have been more even. It give the yanmar an extra 1000lbs lifting capacity.

If the cab yanmar is cheaper than the open station case its a no brainer.

What size and year is your Ford tractor? I have a 1985 Ford 1710 and was thinking of using it for logging my property in North Idaho

Thank you for your time/comparison! Presently, I have two CATS - a 302.7cr, 303.5cr - and am very disappointed with both. ...looking at both this Yanmar and Case (along with the Kubota). So, you have helped me a ton!!! Thank you : )

Incredible video. Did you have to order the winch attachment separately? I have got to have one of these after my "HELL DAY" this last Sunday. Thank you. Wow that is impressive!!

Just to add; you could have driven home without the PTO engaged.. The loss of differential UTF would not have made a difference on the diff gears..

The breakout force is not tested properly, in real life, the bottom of your bucket will be supported with dirt or something else, in your test you are biased by the friction of the machine on the ground and also the arm cylinder force.
@notneeded19 ай бұрын
Get some forks. Works a lot easier. No getting off tractor or getting stuck. You don't have to lift so high. That is very dangerous to do.

Thanks for the comparison, I'm impressed with the case. I would be interested in what the reliability of each machine over time and test again say every 1000 hrs to see if there is much change.

What size tongs are these? 32”?
@michaelschnetzer2284 Жыл бұрын
They look like it. I have these same tongs and can easily handle logs that max out my mill, I have a Woodland Mills 130max sawmill (30" diameter log capacity)

Interesting, thanks for sharing. Was actually curious to see this exact type of operation for my own much smaller project (root cellar). Tedious but doable, especially with a much more modest end goal.

I love this, as someone else here said "use what you have". Those old Ford industrial tractors were tough as nails. My dad had a 555b backhoe for many years, it was an absolute tank.

Well done! How to get a whole lot more out of your tractor. Do you use this to load your bandsaw mill
@vahomestead9943 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Works great for that purpose. Have milled many logs using this method
@michaelschnetzer2284 Жыл бұрын
I have forks and these same tongs. I welded chain hooks onto the back rest of my forks to hook tongs into. So much easier on the bed of my mill vs using forks and trying to roll the logs onto the bed. I love the tongs!

@patrickbradley4339 Жыл бұрын
Must be close to a 1959 841d I bet eh? I had the shaft bind on my wood chipper and it pushed the pto shaft in. Next time I started the tractor it leaked and leaked aaaaand leaked. Ordered up my parts. Thanks for the video budski

I'm new to to tractors and land clearing, but I bought a used Kubota B2910 with Box Blade (with root rake teeth) and front end bucket. When I root rake, I end up with a pile of dirt with all the roots in the dirt pile. How can I avoid collecting all this dirt? Thanks for any help I can get!

Your loader arms should be rated for the max lifting capacity of your equipment prior to your relief valve lifting in your hydraulics

A 2 row bottom plow will dig 6 inches deep in one pass. Break up the dirt with a 2 row plow then use the bucket and drag the dirt backwards out of the hole.

So where did you get the winch tow bar did it come with it
@johnwax97592 жыл бұрын
First is to buy the snatch block. Much easier on the winch. Next, run the tractor and hook up jumper cables to help that battery! That winch is pulling hundreds of amps. Lastly, put some weight on the cable near the tractor too to prevent whipping around if it snaps.
@JGoodwin2 жыл бұрын
How long did you spend on the tractor part you did first, and how long did you spend doing it with the excavator?
