Thank you for sharing your expertise with sewing. You are such a blessing! I’ve almost watched all of your videos because there is a wealth of information in each one. I have some projects to finish up but my sewing machine has had maintenance done and now is ready to go. You are such an inspiration! I’m so glad I’ve found your channel! From Ohio.

I am sorry to tell you, I do not know. I would call a local dry cleaner for advice. they deal with a lot of that! good luck.

Thank you for this zipper series. I also do alterations as a business. I have a few jackets I need to replace the zippers and my method is time consuming with not the results I like to see. I will practice your method on thrift store jackets. How do you address the top edge of a flap at the neckline that comes over on the front side of the jacket? Thanks again!
@JacquelineKingDesignsАй бұрын
Im happy to hear I've inspired you. If gets easier! fold the little flap to to place your zipper at the top. Once you know it's in the right place you can start sewing. I will sometimes sew through the flap if I think it is appropriate. It still has to look nice when you finish! Keep practicing!!

Would this work for replacing a zipper in a jacket that dental office girls wear or athletic jackets?
@JacquelineKingDesigns2 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Great pieces to start with because they are so light weight. Just take your time cutting away those teeth and you should do fine!

Hi jacqueline, I really like your embroidery bag, did you make the smaller wool needle case as well?

Yes, I did! I made it long before the bag idea came to my mind so now I have to make a new one to match the bag, of course!

can you show how you ade that bag. Would love to make one myself for my daughtor in law. she does a lot of hand sewing so this would be perfict for her.
@JacquelineKingDesigns4 ай бұрын
I will probably do a demonstration at some point. I do not use patterns when making a bag so it may be difficult for a person who needs to follow a pattern. On the other hand, it may inspire someone to try something "outside the box!" Thank you for your comment!

Thank you for this. How many pieces of thread did you use for the crocheted loop?
@JacquelineKingDesigns4 ай бұрын
3, double to 6 strands, if that makes sense. I use a product called silamide it is waxed thread made for hand tailoring. if using regular thread use 6 doubled to 12.

I carefully put a pin where I would like the train brought up to. will it be the waist or under the bum? once I decide that I grab the center seam of the train where I think it will come up off the floor and bring it to the pinned spot...how does it look? adjust my hand on the train until I see it its right. OR: measure the train the train where it meets the floor of the the dress out to the end of it. if the train is 3' from the bottom of the dress I know I need 3'from my bottom to my loop so, find my bottom spot and measure out 3'. put your thread loop there. when you bring it up it should be perfect. you just have to play with it. it gets easier!

I've been sewing for many years, yet I enjoy watching your vids (you are very articulate) and still learn from you. One suggestion on hemming the curved hem: Running a stay stitch along the hemline 1/4" away from the edge may help with turning the hem up (some newer sewists may have trouble eyeballing the 1/4" and then turning it up again).

Thank you so much! Many other videos I watched showed them creating or buttoning the bustle, but not how to manipulate it to make it look nice! I’m excited to try to do my daughter’s bustle up now that I have a better idea of what the heck I am doing! I kept thinking, “wouldn’t it be better to do the middle bustle last instead of first??” But, they all did the middle one first. Thank you, again!
