Please Review teenage rapper CLYDE CYRUS hip-hop album "Cleverlasting"
@nichttuntun336428 күн бұрын
Nothing is "damaged“ here. It's like it is. Sound. Voice and soundscapes work well together. If you're missing something, you expect the album to be something it isn't. And if it was, it wouldn't be like it is. Why the title of the album? Memories are somehow washed, weaker as actual occurrences. The album reflects that well. There is nothing "wrong" here.
@the_infinite_jukebox15 күн бұрын
True, nothing is ever truly "wrong" in any piece of art if the artist(s) executed it in the manner that they wanted to. However, I do not enjoy that same execution. Thank you for watching!

like @honeypiss said, i didn't necessarily expect to sit through the whole 33 minute video, but i couldn't stop watching. really solid! if you aren't familiar, i highly highly recommend you check out both of the Olivia Tremor Control's full LPs. imo they're some of the best psychedelic pop rock albums ever made and have/will stand the test of time. obvious Beatles and Beach Boys influences, but they stand right up there with them in terms of songwriting and i think, in some aspects, surpass those bands at moments Bob Dylan is my favorite artist, Olivia Tremor Control is my favorite band
@the_infinite_jukebox15 күн бұрын
Hey thank you so much!!! Glad that a longer video like this really connected with people. Also yeah I absolutely love Olivia Tremor Control! To be honest I'd love to do a sort of retrospective video on them and Elephant 6 (or just generally semi-nostalgic psychedelic pop of the era) some time. Thank you for watching!!

I was super thrilled with "Ty Zhe Ne Znaesh Kto Ya" and I thought at least half of the album was going to be like that... I was wrong... I don't hate it but I definitely don't love the direction they took with most of the songs...

NOTE: This is a reupload! The original video from yesterday had a major visual glitch in the last half that didn't show up while I was editing.

@@the_infinite_jukebox Please keep going with your album reviews. Fantano only got to where he is because he was consistently good for many years.

This album is like if Les Claypool and Roger Waters got together with Daughters, and just went for it. It has a manic cathartic energy, and is so emotive at the same time.

Great video, but i just wanna say if you think supermarket and COADM are “god awful” i think you just been watching to much anthony fantano. Not his best work by far but definitely not awful. The title track of of COADM alone is one of the best songs in his discography.
@the_infinite_jukeboxАй бұрын
I mean I do watch Fantano on occasion but nah I just genuinely think those albums are really bad haha, I even revisited them before this review and maintain that I just really think they're awful records. Glad that you enjoy some of it though! Thank you for watching!

this album is utter trash, just like the last one. they truly peaked with annihilation of the wicked. unfortunately it seems like they think fast=good which is all they go for now. what happened to operatic, grandiose songs that played out an entire story just through instrumentation?

Don't agree that she's "phenomenal vocalist", in fact I think that's the weakest side of their sound - Those are run of the mill, overly processed pop vocals and part of the reason I don't think Magdalena Bay have their own unique sound

AOTW is my favorite album of all time! But I also love all the other ones to death, even the 2010s albums. There’s so much catchy stuff in there, I can sing it note for note and word for word! They have the best discography of all metal for me personally.

I do think the album is amazing. 5 out of 5 for me. The basslines are just so musical (for instance Mastermind Specialism and Nearly Daffodils) and I actually like the somewhat slow build up towards the final song, which then ends magically. A terrific debut, in my opinion.

I was really excited for this record after the single they released earthling. I thought it was a really good fun track. While i did like the album i would have liked to see some more variety within the tracklist. For me alot of the songs on this record just sound like earthling but retooled with a couple of exceptions throughout the album. I still enjoyed it but it kind of left me wanting more
@the_infinite_jukebox2 ай бұрын
Yeah I'd be slightly inclined to agree with you, some variety would have been nice. Ever since they started going in this punk-oriented direction I've thought it would be interesting for them to do a longer album exploring various corners of the genre. i.e. hard/post-hardcore, crust punk, post-punk, jazz-punk, etc etc. Thank you for watching!
