it's really cool how differently anyone can tackle the game I played on hard difficulty, but my main strategy was having junah buff/debuff constantly on warmaster and hoping I get dodges (also had the fire null equipment from the trial dragons), then having strohl apply light weakness on messiah and basilio apply blunt weakness on destroyer (+ charge) to maximize my damage and turn icons (i equipped them with the items that reduce the turn cost of synthesis skills) i also had hulkenberg pop in occasionaly to tank damage, which was so clutch, and eupha helped a bit at the end when strohl was out of MP honestly, this was a really cool boss, i just hated having to do phase 1 all over again if i died, which made it less enjoyable and I basically did the whole thing in the backline because of it

also, i didnt even unlock the royal archetype for anyone because i assumed it was more of a ng+ thing lol

I think the combat in this game really stands out. I do prefer the press turn system to the one more from persona. The archetypes and inheritable abilities leads to a lot of viable options and room for player expression. It’s a great fight and you’re right about phase 1 being annoying to redo. I’m impressed you beat it without royal archetypes, good stuff!

Thank you! The talisman setup was: - two finger heirloom for + 5 faith to use flame grant me strength (you can change this for ritual sword as you enter the fog gate but I was getting lazy and just left it on) - Radagon’s Soreseal for the stats - Millicent’s Prosthesis - Axe talisman Physik: - bubble tear (very helpful for learning the fight since it gives some room for error. - Spiked cracked tear for more charged attack damage If the spacing for star fist is annoying I’d recommend a great hammer, colossal sword or colossal weapon with the lions claw ash of war with frost infusion

heismays douge from royal thief after getting it to master is broken, many times it saved me against his final form. I even forgot to give him Unwavering Blade so he be douging like crazy.

I 100% agree with you. He ended up on my party all the way through the game too. Plus it helps that I really enjoyed his story too

I think it is but haven’t personally tried it, it was the only way I found to deal with the number of turns effectively. There seems to be some strategies for one turn kills of some of the hardest bosses so it’s more than likely possible to do so for this as well

Everyone can become dodge cheese with certain equipment with certain setups, so can win even without heismays on normal difficulty but this final boss is deadly because of many action attack so either reduce enemy action point or increase own point with faker or joker skill

Just use 1 almighty synthesis skill from princes with max buff n debuff, u can 1 hit the boss 👍. (Genocide)

Hey, I'm planning to reset my stats to play dark moon, hence my question: is 50 points in vigor enough? I usually played at 60, so I don't know if there is a noticeable difference

Honestly 50 is more than enough, especially if you have the scadutree levels You won’t get one shotted by anything that’s not super telegraphed and should be able to live through most things. Combos that would kill you at 50 vig would also kill you at 60 too. If you need some extra survivability I recommend the dragoncrest great shield talisman which mitigates the difference in vigour

I had split stats at this point, 40 in each str, dex, int and faith - just to try things out then about 50 vigor and Talismans - warrior jar shard, Godfrey icon, dragoncrest greatshield and I can’t remember the last one right now but you can put the magic scorpion for more damage on the projectile Physik- charge attack and magic tears If you wanna see a better fight, I just beat him at level 1 with the dragon hunter great katana where it shows how to dodge moves I didn’t manage in this fight

Split stats 40 each in are, dex, int and faith, the rest in vigor, mind and endurance Talismans - ritual sword, godfrey icon, axe talisman and dragoncrest greatshield Physik - magic and spiked tears

Hi man can I ask what items you have in your flask the blue glowing is magic boost but what is the red one? And what talismans do you use? How did you stagger him twice so fast?

In the flask I have the charge attack tear + the magic as you said. Talismans I’m using warrior jar shard, axe talisman, dragoncrest greatshield & Godfrey icon. For the second stagger there’s a free window when she changes phase and since she entered her second phase after the stagger I had enough time to get 3 charge r2s hitting the sword and the projectile which is enough to posture break since the poise damage is still quite good after the nerf

Pure int and a little faith for this fight. Warrior jar shard, Godfrey icon, dragoncrest greatshield and gold scarab. Moonlight great sword is just one of the best weapons in the game and its damage is insane when you stack buffs
