The Battery you are using is NG - How about a simple battery charger ? Ignition ? I have two Honda CB750's (1979 and 1981 ) and appreciate your exploratory - The Airbox works the same as my Hondas which run PODS these days - ( you will need to rejet if PODS -( btw: be aware of cheap Ebay boots - they will tear. ) ( btw: Single point of failure - sounds like you are an HA engineer ) -

Once I got a proper replacement battery all was well. I just didn’t have one on hand at first so tried the redneck approach. I’ve read bad things about cheap pods, if I decide to go that route eventually I’ll probably cough up the money for K&N. Not an engineer but I’ve worked with a few :)

Can you tell me the height of the top of the screen with the final result? Considering this product because the BRP sport windshield is too high for me. Thanks!
@davesdiy98364 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I can't as we don't have the Ryker anymore, but I think it used to sit about even with my wife's chin while she was seated. Enough that she could look over it but it would still deflect wind mostly over her head.

The existing fuel line is in the same exact place? And while in my example here it's just laying there it could absolutely be located in a different fixed location with some longer lines.
@robgerety4 ай бұрын
Maybe lengthen the straps and strap it on to the grab rail area so they don't hang down so far?

I ended up replacing them with burly brand throw-over bags. They fit much better.

Looks great! BTW, I see you attached Burly saddlebags, do they fit under the rear seat pad or did you have to modify them? Sorry to hijack the thread! 👍🍻
@davesdiy98365 ай бұрын
Yes, they do fit under the seat pad! It's been a while since I first installed them, but I seem to remember removing some rubber feet off the seat itself to make room. Putting in the retaining screw for it requires pushing the metal tab down a bit as well. But it definitely makes them secure.

Just reverse flush it, fixed the 80K mileage on my GSXR1000K5 immediately, had dropped to 120 hp on the dyno, straight to 155 after the reverse flush.

Unfortunately this screen does not have any adjustability options, the brackets and hardware hold it in one position only.

Hey man .. using this video as a template for my triumph bobber. Had a question is. My bobber has the weighted bar ends. The new handle bar is just hollow. Any idea how to get them off (and transferred to the new one)
@davesdiy98366 ай бұрын
I never moved mine over to the new bars, so I’m not sure how they are removed. I just use closed end grips to cover the holes.

Yeah the bobber comes stick with bar end mirrors with an end cap. Appreciate it!

Same happened to my left hand cover. Bike has only done 21 miles, must be just a cheap cover. Replaced with motone covers, like yours looks great. Dave UK.

I own a 2024 Triumph Bobber and purchased the expensive Triumph rails (painted black) and Triumph saddle bags before researching them enough. The saddle bags aren't waterproof and can't be locked to the motorcycle or locked to protect the contents. They are held in place by a simple nylon strap and plastic clip. The whole "slide them on" the rails using sewn-on sleeves is terrible! I am now considering LongRide rails and sidekick mounts to modify my setup. I should be able to use the Triumph Saddlebags with new LongRide rails and mounts.

Looks nice , sounds nice . Compare to stock , which one is the quietest one between the two . Thanks.
@davesdiy983611 ай бұрын
Well, stock is much, much quieter than either. But I would say they are equally "loud", just a difference in Tone. Both are hollow and free-flow construction except for the baffles - this one is on the 'inlet' side, where the Amazon muffler is on the 'outlet' side.
