The Tory Governments behaved so abominably from 2010 to 2024 July 7th Labour owes them NOTHING. Ignore them.

That a Tory MP feels he can cross the floor to Labour is an indicator of how much the party has changed and a symbol of why it has fallen. Alternatively it’s simply an opportunity by somebody with no moral compass looking to save their job.

Post Office Horizon scandal: what is Parliament doing about it? As you've asked, I'll answer. What they are doing is a mixture of playing politics, distancing themselves as far away as possible from it as is -humanly- possible, and ultimately kicking it down the road to the next jokers who take over tomorrow. smh

The whole thing's become a farce. Worse that the lack of data is the lack of choice. Same old failures. Taking the population for granted. If you don't like us, vote for the other side - tweedle dum and tweedle dee. Minimum solution - replace Royal Assent with a plebiscite referendum. Is this what you actually want?

What our elected MPs fail to understand is that UK is only at most 1% of the population of earth. And if we want to talk about democracy then UK shouldn't have much of a say when people of other countries want UK to not get involved in matters that doesn't impact UK. What does matter is ending the war in Ukraine & Palestine with peace.

First things first. Our right to protest is democratic and peaceful. Taking it away and regulating it to the point of a tiny quiet vigil in the corner of the streets is autocratic. Get it right.

Excellent speech! Here is a small suggestion: let it be decided that the upper limit on the number of members appointed to the House of Lords is fixed at and equal to the number of people who can occupy the seats and standing floor space in the chamber comfortably and safely together at the same time.

road tax doesn't pay for roads though, so perhaps you need to amend this before you keep posting it on different videos.

Please could the Hansard society comment on whether they regard the legal requirements needed for changing a statutory instrument to have been met by the government to lawfully extend article 50 or not ? Or in other words is the extension of article 50 legally valid under uk law or not ? I'm afraid this is now a very crucial legal point that the public deserves to know! Many thanks for making this video ,very informative!

The Lisping Transvestite; Man or Myth? So why have some very prominent QC’s attached themselves to this case?

@@williamread5652 So why are some QCs on one side of a legal argument ultimately proved right, and all on the other side, wrong ? Hmmm?
@williamread56525 жыл бұрын
The Lisping Transvestite; Man or Myth? True, but in this case I believe one of the QC’s approached the Tilcock people because: a) he was an expert on EU law, and b) he thought they had an excellent case. In the majority of cases before our courts the legals are representing a side, hence winners and losers, and their personal opinion is irrelevant. But not I believe, in this case.

My concern is that TTIP is being obfuscated by the very complexity of the multiple legal aspects which appear designed to confuse elected representatives who will make their binding and irrevocable decisions on our behalf. It is not unlike how financial institutions confounded legislation makers immediately prior to the 2007 financial crash by the use of entangled sub-prime derivative transactions that few people understood but could not admit to for fear of ridicule by their peers. I hope that our politicians will take this on board before agreeing to anything that could harm the NHS by default.

No, 16 year olds right through to the oldest person in Scotland will decide. Everyone in this category has one vote. I am assuming that 17 year olds right through to 100+ year olds would hold the majority when it comes down to a head count, so no, 16 year olds will not decide the outcome of the referendum. Its very misleading to present this as the youth having control over the destiny of Scotland when the reality is that 16 year olds are taxed.In the uk but 16 year old tax payers do not get representation. This empowers 16 year olds and thats a good thing. Vote YES!
