When i turn the ampule upside down with the needle inside, the medication flows out of the ampule. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

@@ToddOyen I'm just turning it upside down, that's it. I have no idea why is it like that. I do it with a needle inside.
@happzy
@happzy 5 күн бұрын
I think you should actually use filtered needle to withdraw the medication and those are so long you wouldnt need to turn it upside down. Filtered needles are recommended for ampules in order to guarantee you dont draw any micorglass into the syringe.

For anyone who wants some more clarification: Capillary fluid movement is determined by two main pressures: hydrostatic pressure, which pushes fluid out of the capillaries, and oncotic pressure, mainly created by albumin, which pulls fluid into the capillaries. If hydrostatic pressure is higher, fluid moves out into the tissues, potentially causing edema. If oncotic pressure is higher, fluid is pulled back into the blood vessels, maintaining fluid balance. The Jv equation helps predict this fluid movement by balancing these pressures, ensuring proper fluid distribution in the body.

My "add a location" button is missing. I want to teach a class that offers my own locations. Is this something the TC needs to give permissions for?

Maybe. Each TC can set permissions for instructors. So your TC may need to do it.

How to know if phrenic nerve has damage or any problem because many symptoms of phrenic nerve damage are same as chest infection
@ToddOyen
@ToddOyen 7 ай бұрын
You are right. On the ambulance we may not be able to clearly identify if it is damaged. If we suspect a neck injury that has damaged the phrenic nerve we need to maintain cervical stabilization and assist ventilations as needed.

That's an interesting thought. I don't think it is possible. If one of the branches is damaged I suspect it will lead to diaphragm paralysis and difficulty breathing. I do not know if the other side could take over. I know that's not a great answer, but I just don't know.

Correct. I put made this video for a class, and in class I explained more. I should probably redo this video. We use a filtered needle to draw up the solution so there are no glass particles in what we inject into the patient.
