I’ll never ever not love the bowl of peanuts doing a jig across the bar - but also the speakers on the van as it pulls up.

Barney then went home and got drunk. Nothing else happened and Homer found his car in his driveway the following morning. The end.

It’s crazy that duff man was supposed to be one off character.

Gotta hand it to Barney! He remained committed to the designated driver's program that night, even after Duff Man showed up.

I work at a bar, and one of the former part-owners at my work place was/is actually an alcoholic. And honestly, Barney had more discipline than he did. The guy at my job couldn't stay sober at all whenever there was alcohol present, although he knew he wasn't allowed to drink. Not only was he always drunk when he worked in the kitchen, but he also stole plenty of beer from the building to bring home. No matter how many reprimands the other part-owners gave him, he continued to drink while working. Finally, the others had no choice but to fire him from the company. The producers of this show certainly didn't exaggerate how hard it can be for an alcoholic to resist drinking at times like this.
