Every gay Japanese person I've met who moved to Canada has told me that their happiest years were living in Canada because they could fully live their lives with their partner in ways that they didn't feel comfortable doing in Japan.

i learned so much from this video again!! i really love your use it or lose it series! we in hong kong really don’t get that much exposure to current idioms that are really used by english natives. i thought in a nutshell, a piece of cake, are still commonly used because these are what we were taught in schools and in all our learning materials..and there are other idioms that i might have heard some from movies but forgot because i don’t have many chances to actually use them. i took many screenshots from this video so i can see them from time to time and refresh my glossary. thank you!!

Glad to know that there will be more video coming! Recently I’m interested in what kind of phrases are used when people begin or end Email in English. For example I often start with ‘ hope this mail finds you well’ and end with ‘best regards’ or ‘have a nice day’. I use so limited phrases when I write mails in English. So I want to know more about this. Hope in the future this can be the topic of your video!
