My top leg is top right to bottom left and I feel like it's "backwards" to others, but it doesn't bother me. There's not a wrong way, as long as they all go the same way. Pretty stitching and great rod overview

It’s not called stitch in hand when you use a frame. Stitch in hand is usually completely holding your fabric in hand, no hoops or scroll frames, etc….

Glad it wasn’t just me who couldn’t wait to open it! I promptly put it in my cupboard … then forgot about it🤦🏽♀️. Thankfully Caroline’s video came out early in the day … I am starting with the bird pattern.

Such a great episode, all your projects are so good. What fabric and count are you doing your Ink Circles chart on? I’m also stitching it and realized my cut of fabric is too small and I have to restart it!
@ger_gerxstiches11 ай бұрын
Oh no! My Dog,s Declaration is a restart too. I think I didn't like my first linen choice. I chose a bestitch me 40 ct linen in the honey colorway. It was a club color but may be a part of the normal collection now. Good luck!

This is a really helpful video about scroll rods. I'm going to try machine stitching a band of muslin to my linen as my old Bucilla rod uses tacks! <gasp> Digress away! I bought prescription glasses online for the first time and saved $400 from what the store quoted, but they didn't have an overnight option for no line trifocals :)

Thanks for a great video full of so many goodies, Ger! I was able to put about 380 stitches in, including a finish of Got the Morbs 🖤 I enjoyed how awesome JacobPalooza was with all the pretty things and the enabling and sassy Jacob. But more importantly, I'm so grateful for the friendships we were able to make there. Hope you're having the loveliest of birthday weekends!

I feel the same way about the 2024 MFE SAL. I love the bottom part but not so thrilled with the top. If you figure something out for just the bottom, let me know. We can do a modified SAL together.

Great to see you! Loved seeing all your progress. I was stitching on Reaching Skyward while watching you... the circle of death was no joke! I'm past it now, and finding the bottom 1/4 of the chart so much fun. I also saw the 2024 chart - it's beautiful, but I don't think I'll stitch it. I'm planning to try and get another one of my big projects finished next year instead! I wonder if the upper part of the chart is giving you circle of death vibes?? That's what I thought when I saw the solid stitched starry sky portion of that chart! So glad you're doing the countdown again this year! Looking forward to your updates in December. Happy Birthday!!

Very nice ! Great projects ! I don't know if l would want to count and do all that tiny stitching , but it's wonderful to see you be so into this hobby ! I'm still trying to figure out " molas " from Panama . ( and all these micro- stitches ! ) I'm into > free- stitch < or what that is called . ( no counting anything , and out- lining with chain- stitches or running stitches ... ) Good luck with your many interesting projects ! I liked the waves especially , and the filling- in with those pretty blue and aqua colors ! I will attempt an alphabet sampler , but like a crazy quilt , in a kind of free- style way . No counting at all , hopefully , just going for an overall > good look < . Call me a free spirit , but mostly l'd like to do bigger stitches with also thicker? yarn to keep my good eye- sight . Your very colorful projects look not only very beautiful , but are a big inspiration ! Thanks for your video ! 🌷🌷🌷

Hi! I loved your video about using the sewing method on a scroll frame. I have one question about it… does it work for tent stitches? You see, I really like working full coverage in tent stitch, and your video got me to wondering if it was even possible. A few stitchers do stitch full coverage in hand, but they all use the stabbing method. So I thought I’d ask you before investing in a scroll frame.
@ger_gerxstiches Жыл бұрын
As long as you are tent stitching on aida or over 2 threads. Over 1 on linen or evenweave will likely cause the threads to weave in with the linen thread and hide. This is true of tent stitch or cross stitch. I stab when I need to stitch over 1
