Great question! This machine is using our Node 4G router to establish and maintain an internet connection. The Fog Generator can then be monitored and activated via cloud based software (like Sentience for example).

I have s55 and when it is installed, will it go off when the fire alarm goes off in the house?
@SmokeScreenSecurityFog2 ай бұрын
It shouldn't go off when your fire alarm goes off, but if the fog generator is activated, it can set your fire alarm off. That depends on the type of sensors you have on your alarm and the placement on the fog generator and the sensors.

We're going with Genius (but then we would say that, wouldn't we). On as serious note, we understand your comment. It's ludicrous, but honestly, it works. We've installed tens of thousands of fog machines in places including banks, jewellers, offices, military sites, homes, and even vehicles. It is crazy. But, it works!

I find the issue around regs and integration within the security industry quite interesting. Been to many jobs where customers have been promised the world by an integrator and we've had to come in and say sorry no you can't do that, well you can but we can't then certificate your system. I find the Pinnacle system to be a very interesting software and I have high hopes that it will do very well all these systems are essentially just inputs and outputs and Ric and the team seem to have capatilised on the understanding of this. NGL I laughed at the "i'm a perfectionist comment". For me I love what you can do with all this stuff and I play around with integration at our office but I'm also very cautious around making things too complicated and as discussed here keeping within the regs. I liked your comment "what is reasonable risk management and what is cowboyish" Its a very fine line and many people have this line at different positions. For example Some view quick set as a why wouldn't we do that? Not knowing or in some cases not caring that this one setting lowers the grading of a system. But there are likely valid scenarios where this doesnt increase risk significantly and could be done for the ease of the end user (Private residences for example) But we are restricted by the regs.
@SmokeScreenSecurityFog2 ай бұрын
We agree, such a fine line. It's great to hear that you are experimenting with how far integration can be taken.

If people can get to see your Demo unit they would be in for a real surprise, I’ve just seen an advertisement by another company that one could say they are selling by fear. Get proper advice from companies who are trained in all security equipment to get the right one(s) for you. Don’t fall for what you see as you may be hit with hidden costs. If want KZbin has some great videos From actual CCTV, and Demonstrations.

we used them 30+ years back in asbestos stripping for testing that a building is airtight, fill the building and stand outside to look for leaks, you can not see your hand on an extended arm, moving about in the smoke is impossible, the ones we used had a thick liquid vegetable dye in them and were perfectly safe to breathe, A very small amount to fill a huge building, the only downside on ones we used was they take 5 minutes to reach operating temperature but these ones are constantly at standby temperature ready to go !

Personally I don’t think people even think about security until they are robbed and even then there is an element of oh well. I think insurance companies need to make high risk companies fitted a smokescreen alarm. As for the 96%, if you have a smokescreen alarm, your fitter will take this into account by getting the system to think about it, Ok my alarm has gone off is it real I can’t sense anyone reset.
@SmokeScreenSecurityFog4 ай бұрын
We do have some experience of insurance companies requiring security fog for higher level cover, however this is certainly not the norm. We would love to see a change in the industry to specifying effective security systems 'before' an attack has taken place.

Hello. I have followed your company and others for years after being a victim. I'm able to look back to when you first developed smoke for security, yes 1974 if I remember right. People will immediately buy an alarm, but a smoke alarm will only be brought as an afterthought or robbery. As you know there is a domestic product on the market now, yet it doesn't promote it all that well as people don't even know what it does. I have tried on many, many occasions to bring up this subject and after 3 years Farmers are now fitting it into storage areas. Ending on this, a certain person who played football was robbed at home I mentioned to him that there were products on the market to protect his home and family. His reply made my jaw drop, "Naa I'll just replace it with new". Then you get a certain homeowner with guards 24/7 who get broken into, have heard them and gone face to face with them. Surly a smoke/fog generator would be the best bet here. Now to turn up there would that be 'selling by fear'. Keep up the great work.

It’s not gas it’s a propylene glycol and distilled water mixed then pumped through a 370°c heater block and turned into a fog that is completely good safe safe to inhale and leaves no residue. Hope this helps:)
