this is not bengali, it’s sylhethi. it’s about time sylhethis stop mis-identifying themselves as bengali or calling their language as such; sylhethis were never originally bengali, as their ancestors were from the indo-aryan group, and they never spoke bangla to begin with, sylhethi has always been its own distinct language. sylhethis are bangladeshis, but not bengali

Please check if using orange peel essential oil is safe to use around cats. I think there are some oils that are safe, one being rosé essential oil maybe safe but please double check.

The Sylheti Bengali is so cute. Just so you know, I've lived in Bangladesh my whole life and I can't wrap my head around Sylheti and Chittagonian dialect. It's like living in London and trying Welsh or Irish English.

My parents are from Kolkata, so the Bengali that I hear is the Sylheti dialect. It's not standard 😂. Which is fine because it is to get closer to in-laws, not to get a job with it. I wish you the best of luck!
