Nonetheless, it’s your LUCKY DAY AND I’M GOING TO ANSWER YOUR QUERY; the Magic Number is SEVEN-FEET BEHIND THE SERVE LINE AND A TWO-HAND BACKHAND RETURN FROM A CROSS-DOMINANT PLAYER. He’s gotta be NADAL FAST, DJOKOVIC MEAN, AND FEDERER RELENTLESS. IF THEY CAN NEUTRALIZE THE SPEED HE’LL BE TIRED BEFORE HIS OPPONENTS!! 😇
@orlandoelgonzalez2256Сағат бұрын
You don’t have to do a lot, just limit his ability to reach your return; that will stop him because the crux of any fast server is their inability to follow up on the return of serve!! 😇

Sir, please don’t Ask the same question so many times; I love the video but by the end it was like watching a looped video of someone ready to let go an Arrow that would never be released. Dabble a little, dare to have an opinion your self, give us more examples with different players as far as who may have been more effective against him. But you played him out like if he were some new-level of player, and the rest were just npc’s. It was a little disrespectful!! 😇

It's time more players stop doing those sissy second serves. grow a pair and be like Nick and our new kid on the block Giovanni, foock second serves, every serve is first serve

Instead of repeatedly voicing the same question over and over, why don't you take a look at some of his past performances in different conditions, to give us a sense of that? And also, how his overall game stacks up?
@MrTomNguyen6 сағат бұрын
it's about time this happens. Tall Giant Players should really focus on the Serve. The most important stroke of tennis! Otherwise, it's hard to compete with 6'2-6'4 players on the ground game.

Their numbers are wrong! WTF?! If you get your 2nd serve in 95% of the time and win it 52%, the % of times you win is 0.95 * 0.52. Likewise, in Scenario 2, the likelihood of winning the 2nd serve is 0.6 * 0.75. In Scenario 1 you win the 2nd serve 49.4% and in Scenario 2 you only win it 45% of the time which is WORSE than Scenario 1.

Nice, but in ATP500 in best of 3. In a GS final in best of 5 no serve stays on this level. That's why serve bots never win grand slams.

great player with power and a lot of mobility but he is young and quite massive physically. We will understand the trend in 2-3 years. Also keeping that power at the shoulder articulation for long time it is not always sustainable.

How's his return game? Bc Dr. Ivo & Isner were really the pioneers of this but their height makes their return game below avg therefore yeah, they'll win some big tournaments and big matches but I w/o the return game it's a wash. The best balance was Del Po by miles. What could have been?

I am not sure if this will work or not, but I can tell Ben Shelton and probably many other American players are pissed that they did not think of doing this first.

I recall seeing a video about hitting two first serves a while back, not sure how long ago. I think that they calculated that pros would win more service points by hitting two first serves all the time. Maybe that only applied to the big servers. I forget. Hardly anybody wanted to try it though. The main reason being that they didn't have enough confidence in their first serve. They preferred the much smaller chance of double faulting with a kick serve.

I really don't understand your scenario 2 of a two first serve approach. If Perricard serves 60% second serves in, that means he hits 40% double faults.

2 first serves has so many advantages... been doing it for years. If I try to slow the serve down then I break my mechanics and technique.
@brianmi4022 сағат бұрын
That's the key, how to get to high reliability with minimal to no change in mechanics or technique and least drop of speed. Guys that can do it just taking 5mph off have a huge advantage over someone taking 15-20mph off.

Be careful what you ask for. A men’s game with just big serves and no returns or rallies will basically turn men’s tennis into the NBA, a boring 3 ball un-watchable mess. So many current stars and Hall of Famers are only now lamenting the fate of low NBA ratings and how boring today’s game is. If Pericard rules men’s tennis, that will be another nail in the professional tennis coffin.
@Jake-f5sКүн бұрын
That first part was so annoying when you compared Mpetshi’s second serve speed to Shelton’s first serve. Mpetshi was hitting first serves as his second, so it was basically a first serve. You were acting like his second serve is much lighter than his first. If he’s hitting a first serve on the second, there is no reason to emphasize so much that it’s his second serve
@tdane5017Күн бұрын

Never heard of him, future top 10 it looks like. I think people will adapt, tennis always has people that are the best at something and change the game. Then the game and players adapt. Saying that, I could not imagine returning anything that looks like what that guy is putting out.

6'8" is 99% of the reason for the serve dominance. Shaq ain't Shaq if he was 3 inches shorter......Dirk isn't Dirk if he was 3 inches shorter.......the rest of his game doesn't have to be as great but that mental game sure does.

Whilst Perricard has an awesome serve, I dont think he'll reach the top 10 although he might come close. I think he'll be the tours most dangerous player who on his day, can beat anyone but ultimately, he will struggle at Grandslam level with maybe one or two Quaters or Semis when he's done. But one things for certain, he will go down as having one of the best serves of all time and may achieve 160mph in favourable conditions.
