@@KatiaRoberts but (more than likely) you had the intelligence to not get on a random person's bike. Or at least the bike of a person whom you didn't know. That's what @Adrian Grigg was referring to, I believe; which I've heard and seen this a number of times when I was there. I've been lucky to travel to West Africa to study djembe many times and, frankly (don't get me wrong) it's a pain the ass to travel with westerners because most of them don't know how to behave and often call too much attention to themselves, which often causes headaches they're not aware of. Hard to blame them though, because these are radically different societies from Europe and North America. Key thing being, if you're far from home, learn where you're standing and always respect the local culture.
