I don't understand. I assume this is filmed in the USA? But these are RED squirrels. I thought reds were native to the UK - while the USA had grey squirrels? Sure look like native UK cuties!

Squirrels are very intelligent. They learn very fast. I have a couple squirrels that learned after one or two instances how to get my attention for peanuts. They even wait patiently different ways. One sploots and the other sits on the railing by my door

@SquirrelsintheParks yes it is, there are No words for the appreciation for fellow animal lover! We do multiple types, at night we feed the coons and possums, and we took 3 orphaned possums we found for 3 mos and finally just released them. Baby squirrel that fell out of nest, a rabbit that got attacked 3 yrs ago tht we still have, and we have multiple types of birds and 2 ducks that come back every year and we have no pond or pool. My nephew calls me snow white haha.. and my friends say our animals eat better than us.. but plz keep the videos coming! Truly one of the best thing on the internet these days. Thank you!

Is this little red squirrel from Europe.? Looks like the Russian? Red squirrel but no grey no big ear tufts. Do these guys get ear tufts ?

Great questions! These red squirrels were born in Poland, but they are the same as those in Russia. They have adapted to the local climate and, closer to summer, the tufts on the ears disappear to prevent overheating, and by winter they grow back. Nature is incredible, isn't it? You can watch videos taken in the spring and there are tufts on the ears. Thank you!!

🥰 what i miss most about my grandpa. He had a whole colony of squirrel friends in his back yard. Built houses and feeders and all that for them. Spoiled rotten too, those critters saw more snicker bars than us kids ever did 🤣
