Once you get the base down like in this painting , do you gloss or varnish ? Then add next layer of paint? Thank you sir learning so much. I am subscribed.
@keswicksocietyofart8714 Жыл бұрын
Hi there, after the paint has dried you could continue to glaze your painting if required. I'm sure Graham would varnish only after all the painting was finished as paint will not "stick" to varnish and may flack off after a while. Thanks for watching and keep on painting, cheers

Kay Leech's work is an interesting 'take' on textiles and has developed well since she won a residency at Higham Hall.
@keswicksocietyofart87142 жыл бұрын
Hi Little Studio, thanks for your comments. Kay did mention her residency during her talk, we hope to be able to create a longer video soon. Kay has had such an interesting and busy career. We also found that she has such a passion for her craft, it's very motivating. Cheers

is this steel or aluminum mesh?
@keswicksocietyofart87142 жыл бұрын
Hi Dr Vic, we're not sure what type of mesh Michelle is using, perhaps she goes into more detail in her own website. Michelles website :- www.michellecastles.co.uk/ Michelle's studio :- www.ullswater.co.uk/michelle-c... Michelle on Facebook :- facebook.com/michellecast... Sorry to talk so long in replying, kind regards Dave.

@keswicksocietyofart87142 жыл бұрын
Hi Cherrill, we're not in touch with Michelle at the moment but our guess is that it's a sculpture's "T" shaped mallet, perhaps a Lignum vitae wood Bossing Mallet. Hope that helps you. Thanks for asking, cheers.

So interesting. I'd really love to know how you created the tree stump for forming the mesh?
@keswicksocietyofart87143 жыл бұрын
Hi Capsulend, thanks for your comment. We'll try and get in touch with Michelle to find out for you but you may have to wait a short while. I'm sure Michelle told us that she acquired the tree stump locally, then made the holes to suit her needs as gained by experience. hope that offer a bit of help for you. Cheers

What size mesh is she using?
@keswicksocietyofart87143 жыл бұрын
Hi Dale, thanks for stopping by. We're sure that Michelle is using 1/4" weld mesh for her small marquettes. Her large sculptures will need a bigger mesh. Hope that helps you, cheers

I had a great day demonstrating at this art club. Lovely people, great venue. Super job with the video and editing! If you want to learn more about my art and teaching go to www.jasonskill.com to see my art. If you are looking for online teaching with instructional videos then join me on STUDIO. STUDIO offeres courses on several subjects for the price of a cup of cofee a week. Great value. Hope to see you there. Jason Skill

Excelente video. Qué útiles esas pinzas para sujetar las ramitas. ¿Dónde se pueden comprar?
@keswicksocietyofart87144 жыл бұрын
Buena suerte Dear Monica, thank you for your kind comments. Marion say's that the tweezers are available in craft shops, and also used by anglers for fly tying so you could try some fishing tackle shops. You could try some hardware shops as another possibility. Good luck
