Omg this is making me feel very old. This is one of my first recollections watching the trolley buses going down Princess Avenue from my pushchair. I must have been on that No.62 many times, and others. Bladons, Zernys, Asbestos and all the other shops there I can hear my mum saying 'we're just going to pop in here for a minute, shan't be long'. Please someone turn that damn clock back 60 years.

Thanks for this. We would have taken the 63 when visiting relatives in the 1960s. The only UK trolleybuses I can remember using.

Brilliant presentation. I remember them so well and when I think of Holderness Road whern I was a child I think of the trolley buses. Such a shame they were scrapped for inferior modes of transport. Well done!!

Great presentation, we loved riding on Hull's trolleybuses but in particular loved Hull's unique livery. Thanks so much, your video brought back many memories. I would be interested to know the make of the double deck buses you show with the unusual front radiator grilles? Are they Daimlers?

I really enjoyed your presentation, it brought back fond memories, lovely to see the pretty Hull colours. Although female I have always liked buses (with a penchant for double-deckers) and my sisters and I loved riding on the trolleys. It was such a shame they were discarded, they would be so welcome in today's noisy and polluted cities.

Eastern Coach Works produced some class vehicles but Charles Roe takes the trophy for giving Hull Corporation a real identity. The Charles Roe factory in Leeds still produces buses but they are all Optaire. Buses with no character I'm affraid. but top marks for a great video here. Theres a fair few I don't have in my photo collection.

Smashing video. From the times when it cost 4p from STAGE Courtland Road to Fairfax Avenue for kids on the old 15C. So glad that TKH 270H is restored. I heard a rumour that Britbus have this on their list for a 76/1 model in Charles Roe chassis. But comissioning models is very expensive.
