It seems these engines have low tension rings that causes lots of problems in the poor pcv system and causes oil sludging ploblems. Do they offer different ring packages?

Yes on 1/2 gear selector hub there is 2 damper rings that key into respective slots cut into the hub itself. If they’re not lined up right it can cause bind . I pulled hundreds off these apart with the second damper ring”feet” smashed or entirely missing.

Really nice numbers, and a lot of torque. Got a b18c that makes 224 whp, but like 130-140 lb-ft of torque. Jealous of your torque figures.

174K on my 07 JK. Hope it keeps going a while. If it makes it to 200, I may pull it out and freshen it up. I would rather catch it before a knock develops to prevent metal going all over oiling system and replacements of hard parts like rods and crank. Did you go to any extreme cleaning since you had spun bearings with metal pumped throughout? Thanks for sharing.

Great video. I’m rebuilding my 3.8L ‘08 JK. After new cam bearings installed I lubricated the cam shaft well but it was difficult to get into the fully inserted position and didn’t spin so freely like the crankshaft did. Took some force with a wrench to get camshaft to turn. Was this similar for you?

I got a 92. When they get to be about 30 years old the head gaskets start to seep. All you can do is watch that temperature gauge. I replaced my head gasket only because I did not let it run hot and that was fine.

84mm CT-R pistons. Not GS-R or IT-R pistons.

My setup was : B20b8 block.skimmed surface 2layer headgasket Stock phk pistons with deeper valve pockets. B16b cams Ported itr cylinder head.. 70mm works throttle body Itr intake manifold bored to 70mm and ported plenums S80 n3e Itr tranny & 4.4fd Hytech 4221 with 2.5 pipe,bullet & spoon n1 muffler.no cat H22a injectors K20 coils. Tuned on chrome p27 chipped ecu. Made 212whp & 20.5kg tq on dynojet

@@123212vtec this setup did not last long due to bad block. Crank lining wasn’t straight and locked up mains. But check out my other videos of new setup. Made pretty good power there.

Carbon lined syncros pose no advantage at all. They are no more then a sales gimmick. Honda owners hear carbon and they go all goo goo over it. Don't buy into it.

Those just a Crank Case Breather plugs. I used customs fittings for catch can. You can buy them on eBay.

@@UNIQUEGrills I just changed my timing chains, phasers, oil pump, crankshaft, rod and main bearings, but I didn’t change the pick up tube seal and it’s giving me low oil pressure.🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️ i reused the old pick up tube seal so I have to drop the oil pan and change the pick up tube!!! My oil pressure is at about 5 psi and the lowest spec is 10 psi. I BOUGHT THE CAR FOR $2000 with rod knock. It’s a 2010 Camaro.

You have skills ! I'm an 'old fart' that doesn't race, but would like more power out of my '93 DX hatch ( auto ) - BUT I need to not take too much of a hit with gas mileage. I know it's not a question you get on builds like this, but what kind of MPG could you get out of it if the car was driven like an old lady going to church ? Also, any numbers on final HP figures / 0-60 / quarter mile times - thanks

Start with intake and exhaust and you’ll see big difference. I sold my hatch so I never race it 🤷🏽‍♂️
