I have one too. Bought it new and loved it. Eventually a cd got stuck in it so it became computer speakers, then hooked up to a TV for years but hardly used as a soundbar took over. Now it sits in a corner in the basement. Hasn't been used in years.

I had a few of these models as a kid. They are realllllly great systems if you take care of them. They sound great in smaller rooms because of the natural bass effect. Right now I have the MX GB6, MX-GT88 and a nice Sony MHC-LX10000.

Does the JVC or the Sony MHC-GX45 have more bass?

I want a great stereo but it’s really difficult to find and purchase them what’s the best place to start looking? I’ve already tried Facebook I did end up finding a Panasonic SA-AK25 for free but that’s about it then I saw a JVC J900 for 80$ but I don’t really like it that much then I saw a Kenwood XD-951 for 40$ had everything except for the remote I really wanted that one but the guy wasn’t available at the time so I ended up getting the Panasonic totally would’ve gotten the Kenwood but dam too late now

this might be a bit different but can you connect a different jvc home theater subwoofer to a amp i have the jvc home theater m505 but my sub don’t work but i’m going to see another one soon but that’s a different sub same brand jvc but it says it’s a jvc home theater th-5 sub look the same to me only differences it’s the watts the one have has 155 and the one i’m getting is 167 watts would that impact my home theater amp??

The HX-Z30 and MX-GT90 were and are still the best of the best. Nobody came close. The best thing about these models was that it didn't really matter where the listener in the room was. You would still get super rich deep bass. No subs needed.

I got a fw c780 from a savers thrift store with everything for only 20 bucks a few years back, the right channel on the amp dieed and the cd carosoul gets stuck now but it was great for a couple years, also got a jvc gigatube (i think gt but something)700 (the red cone black flat dustcap one) but sadly it was only a single speaker no amp, for 10 bucks tho i couldnt resist
