If you ever fancy a trip to the Triumph factory for a coffee and look at motorbikes let me know as I'm only 5 mins away and free during the week :)

Aww, you're adorable and chaotic in almost equal measure (slightly more adorable). MX-5 & R50 MINI are a great combo (capital letters only) - I had an R50 once, looking to get an R53 soon.

I was one of these. It was the first time at C&M and thought this was a great idea as they all mean something different to different people. I've made friends for life via cars!

So good to see the next generation so enthusiastic about the scene. Great idea and I’ll bet you could follow up some of those stories. Myself I feel like cars saved me. I wasn’t ever really in to them at school and suffered a lot of bullying but after seeing John Carpenters Christine (insert Halloween theme) I found something I could put time and creativity into and that couldn’t be taken away or diminished my others words or actions. I hope we all at any age still have many years left to enjoy our cars.

I don't want to be 'that guy' however I'm certain that you don't have to be "eternally single" as you mentioned at 1:00 as there are so many people who's dream it is to have a stunningly beautiful and innocent car girl like you as their girlfriend. You are capable and worthy of love as well as being car obsessed. We all love you Meg. ❤

I'll be honest, I only recently found you from your Daikoku @Caffiene and Machine video (thanks btw, didn't even know they did that!), and your cheery spirit, sincerity and love for your car/cars shows true. That itself is a great recipe. It sounds cliche', but don't worry too much about others people's assumptions on how your car should look, that's on them. 🙂 You're on your journey with your pride and joy like the rest of us, the simple fact you bought your MX-5 in the state you did, took it on and got it to where it is today, is testament to your passion. It's also a wicked little car, and the fact you have one while so many others would love to have one is something you shouldn't forget in a hurry.😁 Regarding other KZbin channels, maybe the ones that are doing extremely well, maybe the ones that have the income to put their cars right, but most of them have been on the same journey and are now simply in a better position to have the perfect car, I mean look at Alex and even his Phil MX-5, he's spent how much on getting that to where it is, and the car itself has had a considerable journey, same with the rest of his chums. He probably still has things he wants to do to Phil. 😅 Same can be said for many others, you're absolutely good, perfection is the end result for many (perfection is also subjective), but you don't experience the journey if it's already perfect or easily attainable. 🙂 People think my car looks nice, I then ask them to please not to get too close then 🤣 'cos I see all the stone chips in the paint from my road trips, the dents from other people in car parks, the blemishes in the paint and ultimately the "patchwork" we do is part of our journey of learning, enjoyment and progression. 😁 We drive our cars, they're not garage queens so they should look used to a certain extent and will always have some imperfections because of that. And like you said, it's part of the car's history and character itself. 🙂 You'll look back with fondness when you used hammerite on your car, when you're in a position to pay a bodyshop to re-spray your car.😆 Also, welding is a SICK skill to have, I'd love to learn it too and might try and pick it up in the near future, definintely a handy as heck tool to have in your arsenal! The lacquer peel you can get a plastic blade to the edges of the stuff that's already gotten air/moisture under, pick the tattered lacuer edges away and feather in the area with some lacquer from a can (Upol UV resistant stuff is pretty decent, proper 2K clear coat for resilience) and then wet sand/polish down later. That way at least the paint underneath is protected and the lacquer won't continue to peel off when using jetwashes etc. Even if your paintwork has already been damaged/taken away underneath, it's worth giving a go I think just to stop it getting worse, plus it's a good way to add to your skills/experience. My Velocity Red MPS had some tiny stone chips that I was unaware of get blasted by the guys at the car wash and blow out chunks of laquer, I've done the same to those small areas and it turned out nicely. I hope this doesn't come across as some sort of preach or anything, just wanted to throw it out there, so I hope what I've said isn't taken with any context other than how I intended it. Your sincerity and honesty earned me hitting that Subscribe button, and I look forward to seeing the journey, as does everyone else. 🙂👍

Megan please don't be ridiculous! you are 19 years old, having a cool car is already a big achievement, I understand the anxiety your car's imperfections must give you but don't ever forget: there's nothing wrong with some patina!
