I just came across your video through the website whilst browsing. I’m British and I was having a debate on KZbin with an Isreali who made a point in saying that racism exists because of Arabs not enlisting to the IDF. Then I find out it’s in fact a law that was upheld by the government. Reading between the lines the government want the 80% to be against the 20% Arabs and use the non Arab enlisting as another reason to promote racism. Thank you for this video, helps me to understand the situation much better ❤ Free Palestine

First hand experience witnessed how the Security yelled and pushed very hard on a GIRL who only wore a souvenir T-shirt from Jordan and put her through x-ray without asking the standard procedure if she might be pregnant or not. Her bag was ransacked "out of sight" when she was X-rayed. She was crying and very shaken on the plane. Tourists need to be careful too coz Israel full of hatred with anything arabic.

No. Apartheid means a system where citizens of the state are denied the right to vote or use public facilities on the basis of race or something else, as was the case in South Africa. This doesn't apply to the reality of Israel. It's true, however, that the intention of the law was to exclude Arab citizens from using the park, it was drafted to permit Afula residents only (most of whom are Jewish). Nevertheless, non-Jewish Afula residents (most of whom are Arabs) continued to be able to use the park while the law was in place. Additionally, the Nazareth District Court (four of whose members are Arab citizens of Israel) ruled that the law was discriminatory and it was immediately repealed. So although it seems apparent that the law was drafted to discriminate, there's obviously no "apartheid". In a true apartheid system, an organization like Adalah (a group which I detest and which is wrong 99% of the time but have to admit were in the right in this one specific case) wouldn't have been able to appeal the discriminatory law, and judges who part of the group allegedly discriminated against wouldn't have had the right to overturn the law.
