Looking for a Snow Foam that is also suited for the contact wash and i can use to foam down wheels. I detail my family's cars every month maybe every one and a half and they usually are pretty dirty. Is Af good to be used every month or should i opt for something like Gsf and some added higher pH soap to pair up and bite through tough dirt when needed?
@DetailingBreakdown19 сағат бұрын
@@mxstic_7797 higher ph for once in a while. Buy some poorboys spray and rinse wheel cleaner. Use ph neutral for regular washing. The AF could possibly do all 3 but not as good as separating them like I said. Maybe u want some 3D pre soak, could also be a suggestion. I’d definitely look into the poorboys spray and rinse wheel cleaner tho. Total game changer

Completely not. It does not make foam. Incredible suds is made to make foam. point 2, the dilution for rinseless wash is 256:1 Maybe put the whole bottle in next time? Duragloss has been making outstanding detailing products for a LONG TIME! I was using their products back in the 1980's. They were economical, but more importantly, their products worked exceptionally well and were some of the best products on the pro-sumer line of detailing products you had to use back then, which was very limited compared to the thousands of products available today. We didn't have clay bars, iron removers, two PH wash systems, foam cannons, DA polishers until the Porter Cable 7424ZXP came on the scene which was originally a sander that most detailers used as a DA polisher. Otherwise we had rotary polishers but the 3M perfect system (one of the more popular systems for detailers). Duragloss filled a niche for enthusiasts and mobile detailers. Their Duragloss #105 coupled with their bonding agent is one of the most durable sealants their is. They have some sort of bonding agent (separate product but applied first, then the #105 right over the top before waiting for the haze up and removal. You don't have to use the bonding agent, but it does extend the durability of the sealant quite a bit. It is what we used when you wanted the longest lasting sealant for that time period (in the time before ceramic coatings of any type) so if you got four to six months out of a sealant, that was a lifetime back then. Not many products provided more than a few weeks, maybe a month worth of durability. That's what we had back then. Most people used a simple cleaner wax and rewaxed it once or twice a month. That was VERY common back then. More people waxed their cars at home than do it today. There are more of the drive thru "wash and scratch" car washes available in today's world and even those provide a "spray and rinse" sealant that actually rivals the waxes and sealants of the 1980's so it's worth it to those folks to use the automated systems. And with the rise of KZbin, detailing took on a whole life of itself in no time at all. In the beginning the videos were short, not filmed very well, and pretty horrible editing if they were edited at all. Now, there are hundreds of detailing channels and many have studio quality editing in their videos and many have risen to be quite wealthy in the process. Now you can't fool people or try to scam them because EVERYONE knows about detailing and all the processes and most could probably recite the processes word for word better than a professional detailer. More people know about clay bars, iron removers, pre-washes, foam cannons, wall mounted pressure washers, leather restoration and preservation, and everything in between. It's truly the GOLDEN AGE OF DETAILING for those younger detailing professionals and enthusiasts who don't remember the 70's, 80's, and 90's as far as car detailing and being an enthusiast and what products and procedures we used back then. You now have an unlimited amount of detailing products its almost too difficult to traverse the various retail websites due to having so many products to choose from. If someone says "I don't have to many choices", I would tell them to see a gosh darned psychiatrist. But if anyone hasn't tried Duragloss products for themselves, give them a shot, they have some really great products for very good value. They have every product a detailing enthusiast would need to detail their car including light polishes with some protection in it good for one steps where very little correction is needed. The #105 is an "all in one" which has light polishing capabilities, paint cleansing properties to lift dirt out of the paint pores through a chemical process, and also has a great sealant built in so it's perfect as a base layer topped off with either a spray sealant, one of their other pure polishes (sealants), or a coat of the duragloss carnauba paste wax (my favorite topper in their range of products) for some serious gloss and shine. A couple other of their polishes, #101 comes to mind which is an all in one like #105 (which are actually sealants, but Duragloss called them polishes back in the day so the name is a carry over from the time back then as many sealants were called "polishes" because they imparted shine so people thought of the word polish as a wax or sealant product) are actually very good liquid sealants that do impart a really nice gloss and improve gloss on any vehicle. They also have one in a WHITE BOX that is a sealant without cleansing properties.

Great review Ben. Great points on why you don't want a high foaming rinseless wash. I have been wondering how this product worked, and to be honest, I was a little skeptical at first seeing a few other reviews of it. I've seen a video saying it wasn't worth it, and I saw another one saying it was great. I knew you would probably be reviewing it at some point, and give your honest review of it, due to your vast knowledge and experience with rinseless washes and how to properly do them and what hacks and tools make it a much easier and more enjoyable process. I do agree that with a rinseless, foaming is not always the best thing. It gets cumbersome to wipe off at times depending on the temperature and whether you are inside or outside. I have always loved FUZION from American Detailer Garage, but I only used it as a rinseless for heavier cleaning inside the cabin (works great for that), and when I had noticeable road film on my vehicles, but that's just me. I also have Detail Popo foaming rinseless and I like that one as well, but again, getting the foam off the paint sometime by wiping off at the end can be a little cumbersome but a blow off with air usually takes care of it. I am going to buy a bottle of this to try out because I love regular ONR and also the green ONR wash and wax. It's certainly a good value based on the amount you get for the price. Many other rinseless washes are a lot more money for less product. I like your thinking about the foam being just enough to break things down and then rinse it and use your regular rinseless wash procedure. I want to get both this one and the other new one they introduced. Thanks again for the honest review.
@DetailingBreakdown12 күн бұрын
@@joevanseeters2873 damn, I totally forgot about Detail Popo. Gotta find my old bottle. Yes, for me this ONR Hyper Foam is fine.
