2024 These two team might face off against each other in the playoffs for the first time since 2007

Its a shame Sportsnet didn't get Shorthouse for any remainder of the playoffs. Usually going home around 9pm and love hearing Batch on the radio

I remember watching the game on TV that Sunday afternoon. And Monday went to school and laughed at my gym teacher who was a huge Flames fan.

I honestly cannot believe hockey players( especially goalies) used to play without helmets or masks

It’s crazy how that goal in 2021 on the lightning was a hooking call missed turned into a 3 on 1 goal. Referees need to be better.

Boeser, Hughes, Petterson, McCann, Horvat, Sedins, Kesler, Linden, with just about everyone else being total duds, most not even playing any NHL games at all. Were the canucks just awful drafters for the majority of their franchise and only recently got it together?

100% this goal would've been so much more electric listening to if it was John Shorthouse and Dave Tomlinson making the call. They are unmatched when it comes to the energy of big time goals. Cuthbert/Simpson and ESPN's feed with Cassie Campbell fell sorta flat. Glad at the very least that we have Brendan Batchelor calling things!

Thanks for the throwback vid. I remember being so disappointed, that the WCE all scoring goals was like a final twist of the knife. But in hindsight, you had the Sedins, Burrows, and Kesler all involved in goals for the Canucks that game. A sign of things to come.
