Hey Tony! 👋🏿I don't know if you've touched on this topic but can you do a video on ur own experience when it comes to the church and you being transgender? I know seh Jamaica is a very religious country, and I already know the LGBTQ people in JA are frowned upon unfortunately. How do you navigate the church or certain church ceremonies you might be invited to (baptisms, communions, weddings, Sunday Mass etc) as the person you are? Have you ever had any conflicts with church people due to ur transition? Do you even bother going to church? why or why not? I hope I get to see a video response from you soon with more questions added to the initial ones I've asked so far. Much Respect -Stay blessed 🤜🏿🤛🏿💪🏿💯

Hey Tony! Question: What is the transition like in JA being that our country hasn’t legalized same sex, have they done change of documentation? Do they respect your stance and refer to you as what you identify as and so forth?
@tonynathanlawes62343 жыл бұрын
no change of documentation is done and so I am not legally a Male but because u change my name n I pass as a cis male I navigate spaces as a man. some persons respect me, some don't

right now where I am nobody knows I am Trans. every see me as a man

@@tonynathanlawes6234 I hope things do get better for our lil Island that will allow more freedom for persons to live in their true authentic selves without fear. We encounter discrimination here in the US as well, just that we are a lil more free due to legalization. Y’all stay safe out there!

If it were me, I would’ve probably just forget about the old application and send in a new application with my new name. You have to be yourself but also know your audience;as you said Jamaica have a lot of work to do and we hope they get to a higher level soon. Jamaicans are not very educated where the LGBTQ2+ is concerned, so we have to educate them one step at a time. I think you should reapply as your new gender and name, eliminating confusion for them aswell. Don’t give up on your dreams.

Believe it or not, this actually shed some light on my understanding of transgenders. There is very little that I know about trans and I realise that everytime I hear a story. Nonetheless, it’s endless love and support. Happy that you’ve found your happy place and praying that you’ll only grow happier each new day. 💕
