A puma is NOT a panther, it has NOTHING to do with the panthera genus. It's just a vernacular name given by some people.

What a delightful man. Had the pleasure of meeting him on two different occasions and he welcomed me with a big smile, listened to questions I asked, treated me with respect and made me feel like an old friend of his. I've got every volume he has written and even today I love re-reading the anew. I especially love the writings that surround his beautiful daughter. It is the desire of my heart to see father/son and father/daughter relationships that of full of love and respect. At eighty years of age, loving relationships between parents and kids still blesses me.

I was living in a big canvas army tent with about 20 other people at Long Pine Key when this footage was filmed! I was there to help with Hurricane Andrew recovery efforts in Everglades National Park. I wish I’d known about Totch Brown back then. I would have looked him up.

They are so beautiful and so precious! Unfortunately they trust people too much! As long as we keep the evil humanoids out of Big Pine Key they should be safe. ❤

@@WILD__THINGSI see that your reply here was a year ago but I still have to say THANK YOU! We have seen panthers regularly for 23 years. Yes we share a lot of videos with our local Panther biologist. We have recently been posting some exciting panther videos on KZbin @ terrywilson9500. Check out Florida Panther chasing deer! The videos are from security and trail cameras around our house, but I was in the garage, watching the whole action take place, yikes. Very excited for her.

@@WILD__THINGS YES! The wildcats in south Florida are called Florida Panthers…if you are not intelligent enough to verify that on a Google search I can only assume you have a mental disorder. I’m very sorry about your inability to verify the facts before sounding like an idiot.

Sept. 20, 2020 Hi, I'm Ms Deborah as Totch called me. I worked with him for 3 1/2 years, but it didn't seem like work. I knew at the time that my experience on the Everglades with Totch, his family and friends was something special that I'd forever hold dear to my heart, and I do. I came on the scene to help Totch with his second book that as far as I know never got published. I worked with him on Yesterday's Everglades, and later we worked with John G. Avildsen, Willie Nelson and others on a project to help save the Everglades. I could go on and on. Thanks goes to David and his team to make all the above possible, and we're thankful for Totch who agreed to do it!

Totch Brown learned to fish from my grandfather "Peg" Brown. A little known fact that seems to be dismissed. Torch had several brother's and a few sister's who deserve, in my personal opinion as a Brown, to have their story told along with his to show the Brown's way of life is in the blood of us all. It is an honor to be one myself! JB

Dear, Colonel. You are simply an incredible wordsmith. Never mind the fact that you’re an icon of a turkey hunter. Even my ten year-old son has read your book. It takes a real turkey hunter to know how honest this book is. I have read it dozens of times. Thank you for the huge grins you provide on the days when gobblers fail to do so. Sincerely, Ronnie McKeithen. Monroe LA.

I started reading this book in January of last year (2017), I finished 3 months later in April, just in time for the first turkey season of my life. I have read that book passionately. I have taken in Tom Kelly's brillliantly - wise words. I maxed out my tags for that season. It was the most amazing experience of my life. I will never forget this. Tom Kelly was a brilliant man and my true inspiration. Rest In Peace
