Hi Dan, I see you added Android Car dongle too. I did the same as you did but every time I want to use Android Car the system requires me to connect a wireless headset too, otherwise Android Car will not start on the bike. How did you avoid this? Is that a setting in the menu? Regards from the Netherlands, Fokko
@elefantdan7 күн бұрын
Hi Fokko it's actually connecting to my wireless headset in my helmet which is lying away out of the picture. But it is possible to ignore the message of the requirement of a headset, but as far as I recall this is only after the first set up of android auto with a headset, there after you should be able to dismiss the message and android auto powers up. I'm almost always connected with my Sena 20c headset for Spotify, and radar speed trap alerts and calls. Also I can use voice control via the dedicated google Assistant button on the handlebar . Hope this helps. Cheers

@@elefantdan hi Dan, Now I understand...😅. Well, I need to connect my Cardo PackTalk first. I also prefer the have detailed information on my ear too. I am curious if I can still hear my wife if she is riding behind me. My previous Navi, the Zumo 595 always left a period of silence after giving me some instructions. During that time I couldn't talk to my wife. Very annoying...

nice video, I have dongle from amazon which gives me wireless CarPlay. but wondering about this, I didn't get it, power from out let-ok, I understand but there is another cable going to this device and right side outlet for to connect? is the the holder providing wireless connection? coz normally I have my phone in pocket all the time
@elefantdan16 күн бұрын
Thanks 👍 yeah the holder from quad lock has wireless charging so I only use the socket on the right side for the signal to Android Auto in your case the CarPlay. So I always have a freshly charged phone when I arrive and don't have to worry about running out of power during long cruising days. Next worry was what happens if I crash away from my phone and bike and need to call assistance, that's fixed with a smartwatch on my wrist. 😅

How do you make it work without headphones etc
@danhaffar5 ай бұрын
@@kangacrew540 I do believe you need to connect with a headset at least first time during setup, then it's possible to dimiss the message about a headset needed and continue using Android auto without a headset. I can get this to work almost all the time. But I would always recommend having a headset.

Which bluetooth adapter did you use or does any one work to connect android auto to the AT?? Thanks in advance
@danhaffar5 ай бұрын
It's the AAWireless dongle, there are more that works for sure. I just didn't want to make expensive mistakes. So the AAWireless had good reviews and confirmed to work on the AT. Now it's a year ago and I'm still very happy about that one.

Does the forkshield work good ? And what Kind of AA wireless dongle do you use ? Thanks
@danhaffar Жыл бұрын
I felt less helmet bufferting (offroad helmet with sunvisor LS2 MX 701 Explorer) after I installed it, but I wasn't too annoyed with it original, I guess its different for each rider upperbody height? I'm one of the smaller guys at 176cm. The dongle is actually called AA wireless. It seems to be the best product out there according reviews, and I'm very happy with mine no issues so far, after a few months almost daily use. You are welcome :) www.aawireless.io/
