Agreed, though I'd enjoy if the visuals stayed mostly the same. The vaguely not quite right look of old game graphics add a little to the unsettling atmosphere.

wish I coulda played this. Bought it on steam and after a day of fiddling with it just to get it to actually get past the mirror room in the intro I got to the part in Innsmouth when you go up to your room with the inn keeper and I have an issue where he either cant unlock the door or does but it fades to black, then im in the room and he'd talk then kill me instantly. I spent like 5 total hours trying to fix shit and like 2.7 actually playing before sadly having to refund. One of the only games I've seen that looked so cool only to not work at all

And in the dark, clashing of armours and weapons were the meaning that the resurrection of damned undead knights was not a frightful nightmare... soon the ground of the nearest village will be soaked with human blood becoming unholy and vicious mud in the name of the Melancholy Emperor....

This is the best main menu theme I've ever heard in a video game. Definitely so in a horror game. God I adore this game so much. For all that it does right, and all that it does badly.

@@youhavenoprivacyandownnoth8289 if you consider about whole idea of Cthulhu hearing that track in the background you could by far fell kinda weird and possessed by that cruel gods. Especially in menu screen where those voices whispered something to you
