OR, don’t you think the guy taking the video is looking out on the exit of the turn? And for all you know, it could be private property. Either way, we also ride bikes, we don’t ride like that under normal circumstances, we did it to get a good video in a controlled environment

@@thefourwheelfix Awesome I have heard good things with DLP and Alba too. How much louder is it? A part of me wants to go Alba sbd I don’t loose any more hearing but I’ve heard weller has the best tunes.
@thefourwheelfix
@thefourwheelfix 11 ай бұрын
I can’t say one is better or not. I’ve heard great things about both but have no alba experience. If I’m not mistaken, I think alba claims the most peak power, but only by 1hp I think. As far as volume, it is loud. Cruising around is not bad, but it’s very loud when heavy on the throttle. It’s great sound, but for a long ride I do wear earplugs as precautionary measure. I’m a construction worker and I think I have some hearing loss as well already. I’m away for a few weeks but I’ll get you decibel levels if you’re interested in a couple of weeks

All I want to know is.... can it keep up to an 850 Canam?
@thefourwheelfix
@thefourwheelfix Жыл бұрын
I have not raced one yet, but having ridden a few I would say this. The can am seems to build power smoother and they are geared taller. They really boogie on the top end, but don't hit as hard down low. The grizzly being a big single cylinder, it's biggest downfall is its top end. They are very punchy down low, and especially with some proper clutching, which I have since done, these things are VERY snappy, but they start to fall off after about 40-45mph. That being said, the setup I have on mine now, I would say I could probably jump a can am 850 out of the hole and hold it off until about 40, and then the can am would freight train me. With the clutching I have, Im at rev limiter around 65mph or just shy of that. Its clutched a little lower, so it moves really well in tighter mountain trails where I primarily ride, but yeah they are not very impressive on the big end. Still though, its a very fun machine in the environment I ride in, and especially for reliability sake, I wouldn't trade it for anything else. 😁

@@thefourwheelfix I ride hills in snow. I've found that only the 800+ class works well for our riding. I need the momentum, torque and wheel spin without any lag whatsoever. I liked my Gen 1 800 Outty better than my 1000R Outty. It was much better handling. The 1000R has power.... but that's it. The ergo's suck. I had a 660 Grizzly years ago and it was an over-heating, under-powered slug. It would over-heat plowing snow in -40 and it was equally as poor for the riding we do. I hated it. I did love the Yamaha CVT though..... miles ahead of any other belt driven transmissions. Towing someone out in the snow with my 1000R is almost a guarantee I'll be replacing a belt.... and that's with a $2,200.00 aftermarket clutch set-up in low range. Lol

I understand that this is your first time replacing the exhaust system else you would have strip everything off before you install the new exhaust as it would have made the job so much easier. Plus once strip off, cleaning, waxing the interior or whatever needs to be done inside before putting everything back. I learned the whole lots by watching your Excellent Video Keep up the good work Hope to see more of your teaching video Thank you

What’s done to the machine that helps it wheelie?
@thefourwheelfix
@thefourwheelfix 2 жыл бұрын
At the time of this video, the machine is completely stock other than the EHS big three. The stock suspension is soft and when the back end would squat, the front end would lift fairly easily. Now, I have a clutch kit in it that makes the power delivery hit harder off idle and it wheelies even easier. I can PM you a guy to talk to about clutching if you're interested

Unfortunately I cannot have an exhaust that loud because of some neighbors I have. I'm thinking some upgrades to the clutching would be the best bet in my situation. Clutching and maybe a programmer with a free flowing muffler tip.
