For your gains/throttle mix why do you have it dip down again at low throttle rather than keeping it at 80%? I'm thinking of setting mine up gyro like this as well.

That was a great maiden flight. Subscribed. I was never a fan of foam airplanes but I had to get this one and it changed my mind about foamies. It is a work of art and flies like a dream. I do fly mine much more tail-heavy than what is recommended. They recommended 110mm from the leading edge. I am flying mine at 145mm back from the leading edge. Modified for increased throws so that it can fly like the real f-16 and not a fast Cub. There is a catch. I am using AS3x with the gains turned up high. But damn can it cobra, Cobra spins, Flat spins does U-turns in the air. I had to get it really unstable to fly like I wanted which is almost 3D-like. You would never know it is tail-heavy. It won't fly without the AS3X. It will crash instantly. My turbines are the same way. I have the Bavarian Demon Cortex Gyro gains turned way up and CG super tail heavy. Thank god modern gyros are super reliable.

@RaGeRC
@RaGeRC 15 күн бұрын
@davidgerlach1132 Its not a speed demon that's for sure but I feel even with 6S it has enough power. I saw a video comparing the Eflite 80mm with this one and they were very close in performance. The Eflite one might slightly have the edge because it's a bit lighter but nothing drastic.

OMG my F16 flew like crap where you have the battery...Watch two Brothers video and RCGeek has excellent video's on setting up tailerons and elevons...on F16 V2...my F16 fly's like a different plane with battery placed back as far as it will go...using flaperons and elevons slows it down even more for high Alpha landings...the 8s F16 V2 performs much better verticals... @mrhilma I have them printed, but mine is undergoing repaint right now, so I haven't flown it yet with them. Also, I'm told there's a big metal plate underneath where the esc's are that if you remove it , it'll lighten the plane up a good bit. You just have to add a couple ounces of weight towards the back to balance it out.

@RaGeRC

Great! I have been struggling with my twin 64mm Arrows. Loads of upgrades and I still find it stressful particularly on landing. How heavy is this with a 3300 on board? Good work BTW.
@RaGeRC
@RaGeRC Ай бұрын
@mrhilma This plane is much lighter in general than the Arrows, so I can fly this one with 4000s, and it's still pretty good. The Arrows one struggles a bit more because it's heavier, so using lighter batteries like 3300 is better. Both still need to be landed nose up and on throttle if not the nose slams down, so just remember to add a little throttle right at touch down to get smoother landings.

Hi,, I have the same jet. After flying the Viper and modifying the T-33 to take an 4s 1800 I bought the F86 Saber. The T-33 on 4s is awesome, on 3s you have a fight to keep it in the air. I had to repair the F86 Saber horizontal stabilizer and rudder but not because of a crash. I wrecked it when setting up throttle cut.. I was in my basement, setting up throttle cut. and it flew out of my grasp into some shelving. I fixed the cracked stabilizer control surface and rudder.. same type of damage you mentions, the rudder flopped over from the base of it. It looks straight but I was thinking about replacing the rudder and stabilizer before the maiden. Does the replacement parts come with servos mounted and ready to go ?
@RaGeRC

The replacement part won't have the servo. You have to take it off the old part and put it on the new part. It will come with the decals for it, however.

Looking for your trim switch? NO WAY! Its the thing i HATE most about Spektrum NX radios. I have really big hands and I can never find the damn trim switch because they moved it up and to the left of where they always used to be on older radios. That, the color screens, and way over priced recievers are enough for me to switch to Frsky.

Use about 5-10 clicks of down mixed in with your landing flap to get rid of that floating on landing. It feels a lot more natural to carry it in with a little of up instead of having to force the nose down. 😎
