The building material for epic greenhouse is only found in reward chests from time-based ranking events (look for them at the bottom left of the screen). Ranking events are random timed events. The events can be about using energy (to mine or replace plants) or building. The chests containing the epic materials are usually the third and last chests in the lineup. My suggestion is to rank as high as possible. You will need to participate in at least 3 or 4 such events to collect enough materials to build the epic greenhouse.

Gem shards are found in the daily chests. You can claim 2 daily chests from the store each day you play the game.
