I love having a heel shifter! I wouldn't own a bike without one. Unlike one of the posters on this thread I actually feel like it takes less movement to use one . The front shifter is angled up much higher to be able to get a boot under it. The heel shifter, can be angled barely above flush with the footboard and you can practically slide your heel directly on it and give it a tap. Personal preference I guess.

Totally agree!

I tried to lower my heel shifter just like you did. However after removing the Allen bolt it still won't come off. I think Harley put some lock tite on it and it's just not coming off. 😢

They can be really difficult to pop off like a pitman arm. It's pressed on and then tightened. I pried the end open a hair and just wiggle then until they pop loose

I'm impressed. Next time put a little cuttin' oil on the drill bit and it won't wear out so quick.

UNLESS YOU GOT A BROKEN ANKLE, IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO DAM SENSE TO USE A HEEL-SHIFTER..................THAT'S ALLLLLLLL WASTED MOVEMENT
@emersonclaussАй бұрын
I actually wear cowboy boots almost every day and just try to keep the toes lookin good, so it comes in handy. Also ya know some older people don't have the same range of motion as me and you perhaps so this might be there way of making it work.

@@emersonclauss i guess it makes sense...... just allot of work though

@allentraylor5659 it def adds more work brother. Can't have my boots get scuffed though lol

it's personal preference..you dont like it fine..your opinion, however, you do not have yo show your level of assholeness in the way you said it. it's not your bike, so..like with it, move on.

I have 2 Harleys. one with heel toe and the other without. Shifting is easier for me with the heel toe plus I don't ruin my shoes.

Should you put thread lock on the bolts that hold the actual rods in place?
@emersonclaussАй бұрын
I usually always add a bit of some think to ensure they don't have without force. Locktite(blue) is great, I've used silicone in a pinch but works the charm

Appreciate your brother you made it look easy. Installing mine this weekend appreciate you.

My gauge is two finger widths - index and middle finger - between shifter and foot board. You don't have to lift your foot far, shifter goes down close but does not touch the foot board. And, blue lock tite is your friend.

I've had the same thing happen to my Galaxy phone a couple of times. The battery charge drops from 100% to 21% in an instant, and then every few seconds drops another percent and within a couple of minutes it would be dead. Even hooking it up to a charger didn't do anything. I reset the phone, and hooked it up to the charger again, and it charged back up to 100% without issues. I think it may be an issue with the electronics in the Li-ion battery. Probably also the reason some Li-ion batteries can catch fire for no apparent reason. I don't think it's an issue with GoPro.

What type of detachable rear seat is that ? what's the height please if you let me know? I wanna short rear seat like that. Thanks
@emersonclauss2 жыл бұрын
So the detachable backrest is the 9.5 inch sissy bar, costs about $200 + tax. I believe any back pad will work with this style bar from Harley. Here is a link to one on amazon for a little less and you can pick heights and finishes. amzn.to/3D0J3xA
